Services exports increase by 15.95% to $3.034 bln

ISLAMABAD, Dec 3 (APP): The exports of services during the first four months of the current fiscal year increased by 15.95 percent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.

During July-October 2025-26, exports of services were recorded at $3.034 billion as against the exports of $2.617 billion during the same period of last year, according to the latest PBS data.

During the period under review, the services imports into the country grew by 12 percent and it was registered at $4.195 billion as compared to the import of $3.746 billion in the same period last year.

Based on the figures, the services trade deficit was recorded at $1.161 billion against the deficit of 1.129 million last year, showing a growth of 2.84 percent.

On a year-on-year basis, the services exports from the country grew by 17.61 percent in October 2025 as compared to the exports of the same month of last year. In October 2025, services valuing at $825.98 million were exported as compared to exports of $702.29 million in the same month of last year.

The imports of services into the country also increased by 12.81 percent during the period under review as it was recorded at $1.050 million against $931.51 million.

On month on month basis, the services exports also increased by 2.45 percent in October 2025 as compared to the export of $806.23 million in September 2025.

The services imports increased by 3.97 percent in October 2025 as compared to the import of $1.010 million in September 2025.
