LAHORE, Jan 03 (APP):Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) records a significant increase in revenue collection by achieving a record 35 percent growth in revenue during the first half of current financial year compared to corresponding period last year.
During July–December of current FY, PRA collected Rs. 149.5 billion in total revenue, whereas Rs. 112.1 billion were collected during the same period of the previous financial year, according PRA spokesman here Saturday.
Punjab Chief Minister’s effective strategy and implementation of wide-ranging reforms have played a crucial role in this regard.
This substantial increase has been made possible through the introduction of modern reforms and the establishment of a transparent and efficient tax collection system within the Punjab Revenue Authority.
The growth in provincial revenues is a key factor in ensuring financial stability and enabling the timely completion of development and welfare projects across Punjab.
