KARACHI, Jul 24 (APP):The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan stood at $ 19,917.5 million as of July 18, 2025 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan recorded as $ 14,456.6 million.
“SBP reserves decreased by US$ 69 million to US$ 14,456.6 million due to external debt repayments,” during the week ended on 18 July 2025, the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on liquid foreign reserves position.
However, net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks increased by $ 29.4 million to $ 5,460.9 million during the period under review, the forex reserves break up shown.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country, in the previous week ended on July 11, 2025, were $ 19,957.1 million. Among them the central bank held foreign reserves recorded as $ 14,525.6 million while the commercial banks held reserves of $ 5,431.5 million.
