Pakistan, China hold 10th round of Consular Consultations in Beijing to enhance citizen facilitation

Pakistan and China held the 10th round of bilateral Consular Consultations in Beijing, reviewing the full spectrum of consular cooperation and reaffirming their commitment to further facilitate travel, visa services, and protection of nationals in each other’s countries.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 02 (APP):Pakistan and China held the 10th round of bilateral Consular Consultations in Beijing, reviewing the full spectrum of consular cooperation and reaffirming their commitment to further facilitate travel, visa services, and protection of nationals in each other’s countries.
The consultations took place on March 31 between delegations led by Director General (China) at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tariq Wazir and Director General of the Department of Consular Affairs at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Long Zhao, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs news release said.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing cooperation across a wide range of consular matters and expressed satisfaction over the steady growth in people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, reflecting the deepening strategic partnership between Islamabad and Beijing.
The two delegations also reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen institutional coordination on visa and immigration issues, while enhancing mechanisms for the protection and welfare of their respective nationals residing or traveling abroad.
The officials noted that the Pakistan-China Consular Consultations serve as an important institutional platform to address practical issues affecting citizens and to expand facilitation measures in line with growing bilateral engagement in trade, education, tourism, and connectivity.
