NSC meeting held to review progress of PKNC project
FAISALABAD, Mar 17 (APP):The 3rd meeting of the National Steering Committee (NSC) of the Pak-Korea Nutrition Center (PKNC) project was held at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali,here on Tuesday.
The committee reviewed progress and mid-term achievements of the project and expressed satisfaction over milestones in nutrition research,training and awareness across the country.
It also examined the award of competitive research and policy grants,along with start-up support initiatives to promote innovation in food systems.
The meeting was attended by representatives from academia,government and industry,including officials from the Planning Commission of Pakistan, KOICA Pakistan and Nestlé Pakistan Ltd.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening outreach,research commercialization and policy advocacy to address malnutrition and promote healthier communities.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali appreciated the efforts of the PKNC team and emphasized the need for collective action to ensure the project’s long-term success.
