ISLAMABAD, Jan 2 (APP):Gold prices increased sharply in the local market on Friday, as the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs.5,700 to settle at Rs 460,262, while the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs 4,887 to Rs 394,600, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs 4,480 to Rs 361,729, whereas silver prices also registered a decline, with 24-karat silver per tola going up by Rs 227 to stand at Rs 7,862 and 10 grams of silver increasing by Rs 195 to Rs 6,740.
In the international market, gold prices went up $57 to $4,379 per ounce, while silver increased by $2.27 to $73.87 per ounce, the association reported.
