FAISALABAD, Jun 03 (APP): Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) celebrated the outstanding research achievements of its 96 faculty members who were honored with Research Productivity Award 2024.
In this connection, Directorate of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) GCWUF arranged a ceremony in Jinnah Auditorium to recognize top researchers from each faculty for their contributions in 2024 with a total award worth Rs.1.8 million distributed among the recipients.
GCWUF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen graced the event as the chief guest and highlighted the importance of balancing knowledge creation and dissemination. She encouraged the faculty to publish their papers in quality journals, align their research with global challenges and uphold research ethics and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
She also announced upcoming training sessions on effective publishing strategies. She also encouraged the faculty to prioritize quality over quantity and set and pursue meaningful professional goals.
Top researchers from each faculty were awarded certificates of distinction. Among them included Dr. Nusrat Shafiq and Dr. Sumera Anwar from Faculty of Science & Technology, Dr. Saiqa Sadiq and Dr. Nousheen Syed from Faculty of Management Sciences, Dr. Asma Aziz and Dr. Nusrat Zahra from Faculty of Arts & Humanities, and Dr. Madeeha and Ms. Sana Khan from Arts & Social Sciences, the GCWUF spokespersons said.
