Strategic financial planning essential for development of universities in Balochistan: Governor

QUETTA, Mar 31 (APP): Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandukhel on Tuesday said that strategic financial planning is very important for the development and sustainability of all public sector universities in Balochistan.
He emphasized on the need for transparent financial planning and utilization of available resources in the interest of the institution to benefit the universities and the higher education sector, by improving financial affairs and affairs, universities could explore new sources of research grants and partnerships in their income.
He expressed these views while talking to Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani at Governor House Quetta.
On this occasion, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandukhel said that the purpose of introducing new reforms in public sector universities is to increase governance, transparency and financial discipline, it could be assured that our concrete initiatives would strengthen the quality of education and financial stability in higher education institutions.
He said that the Balochistan government has assured all the universities that it is working on a sustainable strategy to solve the long-standing financial problems.
He said that the efforts of all the stakeholders including the provincial finance minister for the real development of public sector universities of Balochistan and promotion of educational environment are commendable.
On this occasion, Finance Minister Noshirwani said that with the help of the University Finance Commission, we have already succeeded in overcoming the salary problems and efforts to address the pension and operational expenses have been intensified.
