ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP):To strengthen employees’ awareness and preparedness for fire safety, first aid and emergency response, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) organized a comprehensive training session titled “Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation” in collaboration with Rescue 1122.
The training aimed to equip designated Fire Marshals and focal persons with essential firefighting and emergency management skills, while also enhancing general staff understanding of fire safety protocols, said a press release issued here Friday.
The session covered a wide range of life-saving topics, including the chemistry of fire, the fire triangle and tetrahedron, how fire spreads, its stages and classifications, various fire extinguishing methods, and the types and proper use of fire extinguishers.
The participants also received hands-on training in using fire extinguishers and took part in a live firefighting and evacuation drill. This practical exercise helped reinforce their skills and improved the organization’s overall emergency readiness.
