FAISALABAD, Jun 10 (APP):On the instructions of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the clean Punjab campaign is being closely monitored in Faisalabad division.
First time in history, a cleanliness drive was carried out in rural areas also along with urban areas under a uniform sanitation system. This was stated by Commissioner Maryam Khan during a visit to a remote area of Moza Dawar in tehsil Lalian to review the implementation of sanitation on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner Chiniot Safiullah Gondal was also present.
The commissioner went to the streets and inquired about cleanliness arrangements from the villagers during the Eid holidays. The villagers expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness and gave its credit to CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The commissioner directed to set up a regular schedule for routine cleaning in rural areas.
The commissioner also visited the under-construction 60-bed surgical tower in DHQ hospital, Chiniot. She inspected the construction work and directed to complete the project within time frame.
She said that Chief Minister attaches high priority to best health facilities to residents of remote districts at their doorsteps.
Deputy Commissioner Safiullah Gondal briefed her about the project.
He said that the under-construction 125-bed DHQ hospital in the district would be completed within 6 months.
