Senator Pervaiz Rashid Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage (IB&NH) said this in a meeting with the delegation, comprising members of Hangu Press Club here Thursday. He said that government believes in freedom of expression and would continue to support and facilitate the growth of independent media in the country.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 11 (APP): Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday said provision of security to all educational institutions and media houses in federal capital was being ensured by taking all stakeholders onboard. He said it is our collective responsibility to make Islamabad safe and assured no educational institution and media house would be left unattended.The Minister was chairing a meeting held here to review security arrangements put in place for private educational institutes and their shifting from urban areas, media houses and other important buildings and various measures being taken to further improve security in federal capital.
LNG deal with Qatar cheapest in South Asia: PM’s spokesman
ISLAMABAD, Feb 11 (APP): The government on Thursday said the deal sealed with Qatar for import of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) at the price of 4.78 dollars per mmBtu was the cheapest of its kind in South Asia. Prime Minister’s spokesman Dr Mussaddiq Malik at a press conference said the landmark deal would save the country Rs 100 billion per annum and would contribute to meeting the country’s energy needs by 25 percent. Malik said the settled price was 13.37 percent of the brent and was cheaper than the gas to be imported through Iran-Pakistan and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline projects.
