NEW YORK, Mar 19 (APP): For the first time, Pakistan will mark its National Day at the UN, with a concert in the prestigious General Assembly hall on March 23. Organized by the Pakistan Mission to the UN, the concert will feature Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The concert titled “Sufi Night: Music of Peace” is aimed at spreading the message of international peace and harmony at the world stage.
CM announces Rs 100 billion for development of agri sector

LAHORE, March 19 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced Rs 100 billion for growth and development of the agriculture sector in the province. He made this announcement while addressing a “Punjab Agriculture Conference 2016” at a local hotel on Saturday. Shehbaz Sharif said education, research and planners were needed for enhancing per acre yield of crops. He added that modern technology and cheap agri inputs were vital to increase yield of crops.
Govt promoting education: Ahsan Iqbal

Pakistan strongly condemns bomb blast in Turkey
ISLAMABAD, Mar 19 (APP): Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned the suicide bomb blast in Istanbul, Turkey in which according to initial reports several innocent lives were lost, besides injuries to others. “Pakistan condemns this terrorist act in the strongest terms and reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” said a Foreign Office statement.
Pakistan to share its counter-terrorism experience in 34 countries alliance: NA told
ISLAMABAD, Mar 18 (APP) Federal Minister for Commerce, Khurram Dastagir Khan on Friday told the National Assembly that Pakistan is expected to share its counter terrorism experience in the alliance of 34 Muslim countries led by Saudi Arabia. Replying to question, he said that Pakistan has consistently supported all regional and international efforts to combat militancy, extremism and terrorism.
Dar attends briefing session on IDA-18 replenishment process

No import of fruits, vegetables from neighboring countries to protect farmers interest: Bosan

PBM plans to establish 50 modern computer laboratories in WECs
ISLAMABAD, Mar 18 (APP): Pakistan Bait ul Mal (PBM) plans to establish 50 computer laboratories in Women Empowerment Centres (WECs) (Vocational Dastkari Schools) to impart technical skills among vulnerable segment of the society. Managing Director PBM Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh told APP that PBM was running 157 Women Empowerment Centres to make deserving girls financially self sufficient.
