Expatriates hold events worldwide to show solidarity with Pakistan Army
ISLAMABAD, May 25 (APP): The Pakistani expatriates living across the world have expressed their solidarity with the Pakistan Army and strongly condemned the violence targeting the civil and military installations on May 9.
The overseas Pakistanis, enraged over the violence on May 9, arranged rallies and seminars across Europe, America, Middle East and Australia.
The events were held in Tajikistan, Austria, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Germany, Turkiye, Russia, Norway, Belgium, Netherland and the United Kingdom.
The Pakistani community held a solidarity event in Vienna which was attended by a huge number of people.
Similarly, the overseas Pakistanis gathered outside the Pakistani embassy in Tajinistan to show solidarity with the Pakistan Army
The Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council, headed by Chairman Naeem Abbasi organised a car rally in which the participants raised slogans in support of the Pakistan Army.
The similar events were also held in Azerbaijan, South Africa and Germany.
In Frankfort and Berlin, Pakistan-EU Friendship head Ansar Butt held different meetings and condemned the violent incidents of May 9, and also carried out social media campaign on the subject.
The Pakistani students studying in Turkiye attended a seminar and called Pakistan Army a protective wall against the enemies of Pakistan.
In London, the religious scholars including Central Secretary Jamat Ahle Sunnat Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti spread out the message of Istehkam-e-Pakistan to the community members which were also published in the media.
He said the Pakistan Army acted as a shield against the emenies of Pakistan and the solidarity with the Army was part of their faith.
The expatriates in Netherlands, Russia, Norway and Belgium raised slogans in support of the Pakistan Army, condemned the May 9 violence and also called for strict action against the perpetrators.

IG pays tributes to martyrs of Motorway Police
ISLAMABAD, May 25 (APP):Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) Sultan Ali Khawaja on Thursday paid tributes to martyrs of the National Highways and Motorways Police who laid their lives in the line of duty on the occasion of Youm-e-Tekreem-e-Shuhada Pakistan.
The IG placed a wreath of flowers and offered special prayers which was followed by a salute offered by all the officers. On the occasion, he highlighted the heroic efforts of 47 martyrs of NHMP, in which a female officer is also included.

The Inspector General remarked that the martyrs were the proud asset of the institution who had presented a practical example of courage and bravery. He expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs of NHMP and all other law enforcement departments.

Mushaal fears Yasin Malik’s slow death due to Modi govt’s callous attitude
ISLAMABAD, May 25 (APP): Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, Mushaal Hussein Mullick came down hard on the notorious Narendra Modi-led Indian government for unlawful detention of her husband Yasin Malik in the death cell of the notorious Tihar jail for the last one year in false, fabricated and politically motivated cases.
Speaking at an event in Islamabad Bar Council along with Secretary General Sabien Hussain Mullick here on Thursday held on the occasion of the completion senior hurriyat leader one year in Tihar Jail, Mushaal said that Yasin Malik had been languishing Tihar jail’s death cell after Indian kangaroo courts sentenced him life imprisonment in a one-sided decision without providing him with a fair trial opportunity.

Mushaal, the wife of jailed Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, urged that Kashmiri people across the world should raise their voices for the release of Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri people detained in Indian jails for their crimes to raise voice for their birthright of right to self-determination.
On the occasion, Mushaal said that the Hindutva regime crossed all limits of barbarity and atrocity, as Yasin Malik was deprived of all legal, fundamental and constitutional rights.
The hurriyat leader lamented that despite his fast deteriorating health condition, he was not provided much-needed life-saving medicines.
The Chairperson expressed her apprehension that her husband was moving towards slow death due to the government’s callous attitude towards him coupled with the non-provision of required medicines and continued mental and physical torture.
Mushaal stated that the brutal authorities used all fascist tactics to convince him to shun the peaceful freedom struggle for Kashmiri people but they miserably failed.
She stated that the fascist Modi regime has failed to break Yasin Malik’s resolve for freedom despite using all inhuman and illegal tactics. Therefore, she demanded that it was time to act now to end illegal detention of Yasin Malik before it was too late because his life was in danger.
Mushaal strongly condemned the undemocratic and inhuman approach of Narendra Modi-led fascist government towards Yasin Malik who was denied all legal and medical facilities.
She said that if anything bad happened to Yasin, the Indian state would be held responsible for his murder.
She urged that the international community and UN bodies should shun the duplicity and should also raise such collective supporting voice for Yasin Malik and Kashmiris who have been struggling for their birth rights like they are doing in the case of Ukraine.
Mushaal said that Yasin Malik, who was facing serious health issues, but even then neither he was provided medical nor legal assistance, demanded her husband’s immediate release due to his precarious health condition.
Mushaal urged the world community and so-called human rights organisations to raise their voices against Yasin Malik and other Kshmiris illegal detainees to force Indian government to ensure their release from unlawful detentions.
President Islamabad High Court Bar Association Naveed Malik and Secretary Bar Council Mirza Amir Tahir also spoke on the occasion and shed light on the Indian barbarism unleashed on the innocent Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
