ECP declares Sajid Tabassum as member of KP assembly

PESHAWAR, Mar 20 (APP):The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared Sajida Tabassum daughter of Muhammad Yaqub Khan, returned candidate on reserved seat for women in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, said a notification issued here on Wednesday.
The seat was fallen vacant due to the resignation tendered by Naima Kanwal.
Sajida Tabassum who hails from district Mansehra has affiliation with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Parliamentarians.

SUKKUR, Mar 20 (APP): Speaker Sindh Assembly, Syed Awais Qadir Shah reached his constituency Saleh Putt on Wednesday where people warmly received him.
Syed Awais arrived in his constituency for the first time after assuming office, where he was garlanded with flowers and paraded around the constit­uency.
Speaking the occasion, he said the elected government under the supervision of Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah was making all-out efforts to provide basic facilities to the people.
He further said that population of the country is growing by every passing hour so we will have to provide better health facilities to people in the same ratio.

Police arrested gang of gamblers

KARACHI, Mar 20 (APP):The Taimuria police station conducted an intelligence-based operation targeting gambling activities, resulting in the arrest of 7 individuals caught in the act.
As per the news release from the SSP Central office, those apprehended including Dilawar, Muhammad Mansha, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Afzal, Muhammad Yousuf, Muhammad Irfan, and Muhammad Bashir.
A sum of 17,850 rupees was seized from the arrested suspects, and legal proceedings have been initiated against them.
They have been handed over to investigative authorities for further scrutiny.
