Police intensify operation against drug dealers, 05 held
RAWALPINDI, Aug 19 (APP):Police have arrested five drug dealers and confiscated more than 5 kg drugs from their possession.
According to police spokesman, City Police arrested Babar Mubarak and recovered 1.4 kg drugs from his possession,during a raid.
Similarly, Saddar Wah Police seized 1.6 kg drugs from Hafeez and 820 gram of charas from Arif. While, Bani Police found 550 gram of charas from Arsalan.
Following operation, Civil Lines Police confiscated 520 gram of charas from Zaheer.
Police have registered separate cases against all of them and further investigation was in progress.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani appreciated the performance of police teams and assured that all legal procedures will be followed to ensure that the accused face appropriate penalties.
The crackdown on drug dealers will be continued as part of an ongoing effort to combat drug from society, he added.

RPO hold open court to address public grievances
RAWALPINDI, Aug 19 (APP):Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region, Babar Sarfraz Alpa on Monday held an open court to address public grievances at the regional office.
According to police spokesman, police is conducting open court regularly as part of the Punjab government’s open door policy.
During the open court, several residents including Parvez Khan, Maryam Naseer, Muhammad Siddique, and Tahira Bibi from Rawalpindi district while Nasreen Begum from Chakwal district, Muhammad Ismail from Hassan Abdal, Attock, and Sardar Ali from Jalal Pur, District Jhelum submitted their applications for redressal.
RPO Alpa listened complaints of citizens individually.
Following a thorough review and prompt action, RPO directed the issues must be addressed in a timely manner based on merits.
RPO Alpa emphasized that open courts are held daily to ensure citizens’ complaints are resolved efficiently.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of policing in the region.
