KPITB, BoK sign MoU on service level agreement regarding E-Stamping

PESHAWAR, Sep 10 (APP):Board of Revenue, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), and Bank of Khyber (BoK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Service Level Agreement regarding E-Stamping.
The signing ceremony to this effect was held here at the office of Senior Member Board of Revenue in which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Revenue and Estate Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, Senior Member Board of Revenue Ikramullah, Member Board of Revenue (Admin) Aamir Latif, Managing Director Bank of Khyber Sher Muhammad, Managing Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board Akif Khan, and other senior officials were present, said a press release issued here Tuesday.
Addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister of Revenue and Estate Nazir Ahmad Abbasi said that E-Stamping is a very important initiative of the Board of Revenue. Stamp duty is an important source of revenue generation and E-Stamping will also provide maximum facilities to the people of the province.
Regarding E-Stamping, the first MoU was signed in September 2022, but now instead of the National Bank of Pakistan and the Punjab IT Board, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and the Bank of Khyber (BoK) have extended it to all the districts of the province.
The Minister said that different rates have been allocated regarding stamp duty which would be very helpful in doubling the revenue of the province.
He also said that this was a big initiative of the government for the convenience of the people, good administration, and good governance.
He said that the manifesto of the provincial government was to provide maximum relief to the people, for which the provincial cabinet was working day and night under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

DC Haripur enforces 90-day ban on e-cigarettes and vaping

HARIPUR, Sep 10 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Haripur Shoaib Abbas Tuesday has imposed a ban on e-cigarettes, vapes, and related nicotine products in Haripur district.
The ban, effective from September 6, 2024, will remain in place for 90 days under Section 144.
The district administration has imposed the restrictions including the E-cigarettes, vapes, and nicotine products are banned from use in public transport and public spaces.
Promotion of e-cigarettes, vapes, and nicotine through media platforms and the display of related pamphlets on walls and vehicles is forbidden. The sale of these products is prohibited for individuals under 21 years of age.
E-cigarettes, vapes, and nicotine cannot be stored or sold within a 100-meter radius of schools, colleges, hospitals, and public parks.
Violators of these regulations will face strict legal consequences. The public is urged to comply with the new rules and support the authorities in maintaining community health.

Governor Kamran Tessori honoured with “Ethio- Pakistan Fraternity Award”

KARACHI, Sep 10 (APP):Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori was honoured with the “Ethio-Pakistan Fraternity Award” by Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan Jemal Beker Abdula in a ceremony held here at Governor House on Monday night.
“Ethio-Pakistan Fraternity Award” is the highest award of Ethiopia and Governor Tessori was honored with the award for his outstanding services in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Ethiopia.
Speaking on the occasion, Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Beker said Kamran Tessori played an important role in starting Ethiopian Airlines.
Jemal Beker appreciated the role of Governor Sindh in building bilateral public relations between both countries.
Governor Kamran Tessori thanked Ambassador Jemal Beker for bestowing him of Ethiopia’s highest award.
Sindh Governor said that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Ethiopia have become very stable today and hoped that these relations would flourish in the days to come.
