27th constitutional amendment bill tabled in NA after Senate approval

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):The 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill, passed by the Senate on Tuesday tabled in the National Assembly.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar presented the bill in the lower house.
The Senate had earlier passed the bill with a two-thirds majority, while opposition parties boycotted the proceedings of the house.
A total of 64 senators voted in favor of the bill, with none voting against it.
Under the Constitution, the amendment requires a two-thirds majority in both houses of Parliament for approval.

Governor Kundi expresses deep sorrow over Irfan Siddiqui’s demise

PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Senator Irfan Siddiqui.

Commerce minister Chairs 3rd Pakistan-Malaysia meat export Committee meeting

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, chaired the 3rd Meeting of the Committee on Pakistan-Malaysia Cooperation on Meat Export from Pakistan, emphasizing the need to strengthen Pakistan’s meat export sector and ensure competitive pricing in the Malaysian market.
He directed the authorities to form a working group and submit a final report within a week, said a release issued here on Tuesday.
He also stressed that all stakeholders, including the governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, should be consulted to achieve the target of $200 million in meat exports.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Food Security, Rana Tanvir Hussain, and SAPM Haroon Akhtar Khan.
The committee focused on reviewing strategies for meat exports to Malaysia, with particular attention to costs, competitiveness, and supply chain logistics for both buffalo and cow meat. Officials discussed CNF (Cost & Freight) pricing, comparative cost analysis with India, and the need to maintain Pakistan’s market competitiveness while ensuring quality standards from farm to slaughterhouse.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of selecting buffaloes within the 14–18-month age group to meet Malaysia’s market requirements and addressed challenges related to market fluctuations, pricing, and incentives for private sector participants to maintain a sustainable export model.
Technical efficiency improvements at farms and slaughterhouses, including electricity costs, technology upgrades, and operational efficiency, were also reviewed to optimize production.
The committee concluded that long-term cooperation with Malaysia, supported by a combination of government assistance and active private sector engagement, is essential to reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and meet the competitive standards of the Malaysian meat market.

KP Govt imposes complete ban on teachers’ transfers

PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has imposed a complete ban on all postings and transfers of male and female teaching staff in the Elementary and Secondary Education Department.
The decision was made following a departmental review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to an official notification issued by the Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Department, the ban will remain in effect for all categories except for appointments made through the KP Public Service Commission, promotions through the Provincial Selection Board or Departmental Promotion Committee, court orders, and teachers awaiting posting.
The department also announced the launch of an E-Posting and Transfer Policy, under which a separate online portal will be introduced to facilitate postings and transfers during the summer and winter vacations only.
