Governor Kundi expresses deep sorrow over Irfan Siddiqui’s demise

PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Senator Irfan Siddiqui.
In his condolence message, the Governor prayed for the departed soul’s high ranks in Jannah and for patience and strength for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Governor Kundi said he shares the grief of Senator Siddiqui’s family in this difficult time. He paid rich tribute to the late senator’s remarkable contributions in the fields of politics, journalism, and literature.
“The services of Senator Irfan Siddiqui in the realms of politics, journalism, and literature will always be remembered,” Governor Kundi remarked, adding that the nation has lost a seasoned intellectual and a principled parliamentarian.

In his condolence message, the minister prayed for the departed soul’s forgiveness and high ranks in the hereafter and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
Paying tribute to the late senator, Ahsan Iqbal said Irfan Siddiqui was a man of knowledge, a prolific writer and a patriotic intellectual who rendered distinguished services in the fields of education, journalism, politics, and thought.

Commerce minister Chairs 3rd Pakistan-Malaysia meat export Committee meeting

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, chaired the 3rd Meeting of the Committee on Pakistan-Malaysia Cooperation on Meat Export from Pakistan, emphasizing the need to strengthen Pakistan’s meat export sector and ensure competitive pricing in the Malaysian market.
He directed the authorities to form a working group and submit a final report within a week, said a release issued here on Tuesday.
He also stressed that all stakeholders, including the governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, should be consulted to achieve the target of $200 million in meat exports.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Food Security, Rana Tanvir Hussain, and SAPM Haroon Akhtar Khan.
The committee focused on reviewing strategies for meat exports to Malaysia, with particular attention to costs, competitiveness, and supply chain logistics for both buffalo and cow meat. Officials discussed CNF (Cost & Freight) pricing, comparative cost analysis with India, and the need to maintain Pakistan’s market competitiveness while ensuring quality standards from farm to slaughterhouse.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of selecting buffaloes within the 14–18-month age group to meet Malaysia’s market requirements and addressed challenges related to market fluctuations, pricing, and incentives for private sector participants to maintain a sustainable export model.
Technical efficiency improvements at farms and slaughterhouses, including electricity costs, technology upgrades, and operational efficiency, were also reviewed to optimize production.
The committee concluded that long-term cooperation with Malaysia, supported by a combination of government assistance and active private sector engagement, is essential to reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and meet the competitive standards of the Malaysian meat market.

KP Govt imposes complete ban on teachers’ transfers

PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has imposed a complete ban on all postings and transfers of male and female teaching staff in the Elementary and Secondary Education Department.
The decision was made following a departmental review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to an official notification issued by the Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Department, the ban will remain in effect for all categories except for appointments made through the KP Public Service Commission, promotions through the Provincial Selection Board or Departmental Promotion Committee, court orders, and teachers awaiting posting.
The department also announced the launch of an E-Posting and Transfer Policy, under which a separate online portal will be introduced to facilitate postings and transfers during the summer and winter vacations only.

“Iqbal’s Falcon and the Award of Excellence” ceremony organized at AIOU

MIRPUR  ( AJK), Nov 11 (APP):The public-sector Allama Iqbal Open University’s (AIOU) Mirpur-AJK regional campus has hosted a prestigious ceremony honoring tutors who demonstrated outstanding performance during the current semester.
The program, titled “Iqbal’s Falcon and the Award of Excellence,” recognized tutors who played a key role in the new admissions campaign, helping enroll the maximum number of students.
Several social and welfare organizations that support Allama Iqbal Open University students with their fees were also invited.
The organizations included Muslim Hands Mirpur, Anjuman Falah Bahbood Insaniyat Mirpur, and Sarfaraz Welfare Trust, whose representatives attended the program in significant numbers.
More than 300 tutors and representatives of welfare organizations from the entire region participated in the ceremony.
The chief guest of the ceremony was  Chaudhry Akhtar Hussain, Chairman of Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT).
In his opening remarks, the Regional Director of Allama Iqbal Open University outlined the objectives of the ceremony, introduced the guests, and praised the tutors for their outstanding contributions while informing the participants about various university programs.
The chief guest praised the university’s educational and IT departments and congratulated the tutors and representatives of welfare organizations for their notable services.
The tutors demonstrated exceptional performance were awarded the “Iqbal’s Falcon Award of Excellence.” All tutors received their awards from the chief guest.
The award recipients and representatives of welfare organizations shared their impressions, expressing gratitude for the recognition and appreciating the university’s efforts.
In his presidential address, Syed Shabbir Ahmed explained the ongoing university programs, the resources available to underprivileged students, and the procedures for fee submission.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman mourns death of Senator Irfan Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Senator Irfan Siddiqui, calling it a significant loss for Pakistan’s political and intellectual community.
In a statement, on Tuesday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said he was deeply grieved by the senator’s passing, describing him as a distinguished scholar, writer and statesman whose contributions to literature, politics and democracy would be long remembered.
“Senator Irfan Siddiqui was a man of knowledge, refinement and dignity – a rare combination of intellect and public service,” the JUI-F chief said.
He prayed for the late senator’s soul, asking Allah to “forgive his shortcomings, elevate his status in Jannah and grant patience to his family.”
