Uzbekistan – France: Cooperation reaches the level of strategic partnership
TASHKENT, Nov 27 (UzA/APP) :
An online meeting was held between the inter-parliamentary cooperation groups of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Senate of the Parliament of the French Republic.
The parties discussed issues related to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two states and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
An exchange of views took place on expanding economic cooperation and developing interaction in several sectors. Special attention was given to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties. In particular, the importance of ongoing joint initiatives to restore cultural heritage sites and expand educational cooperation was emphasized. Proposals were put forward to intensify tourism cooperation, including the organization of joint tourism forums and cultural events.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to systematize the activities of the inter-parliamentary cooperation groups, hold joint sessions at least once a year, and organize the next meeting in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Border Guard receives first AROYA Cruises voyage at Yanbu Commercial Port
Yanbu, Nov 27 (SPA/APP): The General Directorate of Border Guard has received the first voyage of the AROYA Cruises ship at Yanbu Commercial Port, as part of its organizational and security efforts at the port and its work to enhance service levels across the Kingdom’s seaports.
The efforts included monitoring the implementation of maritime safety requirements and overseeing the readiness of berths and the port area, ensuring a safe and suitable environment for cruise operations, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

30 Jordanian students receive Chinese ambassador scholarships
AMMAN, Nov 27 (Xinhua/APP): Thirty Jordanian students from 11 local universities were awarded the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship at a ceremony on Wednesday at the Chinese Embassy in Jordan.
Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei said China and Jordan share aligned educational philosophies and objectives, noting that the scholarship program has grown rapidly over the past three years into a landmark of education cooperation between China and Jordan.
“This year’s program has expanded … reflecting both countries’ shared commitment to nurturing young talent,” Guo said.
The Jordanian students expressed gratitude to China for setting up the scholarship. Islam Suleiman, who was awarded a first-class scholarship this year, said the scholarship reflects the deep friendship between the two countries, and he is looking forward to serving as a bridge to step up bilateral cooperation between Jordan and China.
Hazem Al-Samadi, who was awarded the scholarship in 2023, described the grant as a turning point in his academic and personal journey. “It gave me a wider space to develop myself and deepen my studies,” he said.
The Chinese Embassy in Jordan established the Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship program in 2023 to encourage and support outstanding Jordanian students in completing their studies. Six students received the scholarship in 2023, and eight students in 2024.
