Govt decides to block CNIC, sims of 4th Schedulers, human traffickers
ISLAMABAD, Feb 29 (APP): The government has decided to cancel travel documents and block national identity cards to withdraw certain facilities such as driving licenses, issuance of mobile sims and permission to open and operate bank accounts by members of proscribed organizations and human traffickers. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan on Monday, said a press release.
Pakistan says working to choke terrorist funding, Rs one billion worth of accounts frozen
WASHINGTON, Feb 29 (APP): Pakistan is determined to deny space to any terrorist groups to plan and launch violent activities from its soil, the Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said on Tuesday, adding measures are being taken to choke terrorist funding and accounts worth one billion rupees have been frozen so far. Speaking at the the 6th Ministerial Review of Pak-US Strategic Dialogue Process held in Washington, the Adviser said Pakistan has rendered huge sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and the country’s resolve to finish and win this fight remains unshakable. US Secretary of State John Kerry led the US delegation at the talks.

He was responding to a question regarding Twenty-20 skipper Shahid Afridi who has again taken a U-turn from his retirement decision, Haroon said it is totally a player’s prerogative to retire from the game or not. “We cannot force anyone to retire,” he told APP.
