ISLAMABAD, Mar 23 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, expressing the government’s resolve to defeat the evils of terrorism and extremism, has stated that the menaces will be completely wiped-out from the country’s soil.

ISLAMABAD, March 23 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain Wednesday said Pakistan was playing a vital role against extremism and terrorism and would play its part in global efforts to fight these threats to bring peace to the world. Addressing the Pakistan Day Parade here at the Shakarparian ground, the President said Pakistan has always stood for peace and its efforts in this regard have been globally recognized. He mentioned Pakistan’s desire for peace, particularly with its neighbours. However, he said,”Our desire for peace should not be construed as our weakness.”

ISLAMABAD, March 22 (APP): National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched a rescue team to assist search and rescue operation being carried out in avalanche-hit area of Sosum Karimabad, Chitral. “We have dispatched our team through helicopter with special tools to assist the team already conducting operation for the recovery of students trapped in an avalanche in Sosum village of Karimabad, Chitral” the spokesman of NDMA said.
