MUZAFFARABAD, April 6 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said the PML-N would bring forward true representatives of people in AJK on merit to ensure progress and development and the welfare of masses. Nawaz Sharif in his capacity as Chairman of PML-N’s Parliamentary Board was chairing the board’s meeting here to evolve a strategy for the next AJK Legislative Assembly election and ponder over the names of party candidates. The Prime Minister said the progress and prosperity in Azad Jammu and Kashnir was very close to his heart.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 6 (APP): Minister for National Food Security and  Research, Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan has said that the government was working closely with the agriculture scientists, international partners and farmers to propagate agriculture-research and bring innovations at the very doorstep of farmers across the country. “This will not only improve the livelihood of vulnerable poor  population but will be a step towards securing food security in the country”, Bosan said while addressing the concluding session of a two-day workshop on “4R Nutrient Stewardship for Food, Economic and Environmental Security” workshop on jointly organized by Food and Agriculture Organization, Minister of NFSR and Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) here last evening.

Federal parliamentary secretary said it was under government’s policy that recent recruitment of sub-editors, producers, and broadcast engineers were ensured on basis of merit to make Radio Pakistan a strong and competitive organization.

Khawaja Asif lauds JC announcement by PM on Panama Leaks

ISLAMABAD, Apr 6 (APP): Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif Wednesday lauded the announcement made by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to form a Judicial Commission (JC) to investigate Panama leaks allegation on his family. Talking to a private news channel, he said it was the right decision taken by the PM at a right time. He said if any political party had reservations on judicial commission it should go to the Supreme Court.

8000 to 10000 MW electricity to be added to national grid by 2018: Abid Sher

MULTAN, Apr 6 (APP): State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said on Wednesday that 8,000 to 10,000 Megawatt electricity would be added to national grid by 2018, which would help control electricity crisis in the country. Talking to the media persons here at Multan Tea House, he said that electricity generation would reach to 18,000 megawatts during August 2016, which would surely help reducing loadshedding hours significantly. Maximum relief would be given to consumers regarding loadshedding in the coming Ramazan, he added.

CPEC to help end loadshedding, ensure economic growth: PM

He was talking to Member of the Political Bureau of  Communist Party of China, Zhang Chunxian who called on him here at the PM House. The Prime Minister termed the fusion of multiple development projects  as game changer that would bring prosperity and well-being of the citizens of the country and the region at large. The Prime Minister said he was monitoring the progress on projects under the CPEC on daily basis.
