PML N to win next general elections due to its performance: Marvi

ISLAMABAD, May 18 (APP): Minister of State and
BISP Chairperson Marvi Memon Wednesday said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML N) would be victorious in the next elections due to its performance.

“Confused opposition should concentrate on public
service in their respective areas of power rather than
mudslinging,” she said while addressing to the local
representatives, notables and beneficiaries during her visit to
Mirpur (AJK).

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, she said,
emerged victorious after answering the questions from opposition in the National Assembly.

KARACHI, May. 18 (APP): Admiral Wu Shengli, Commander PLA (Navy) of China on an official visit to Pakistan arrived here on Wednesday.

Upon arrival at Pakistan Navy Fleet Headquarters, the dignitary was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, a press release of the PN said here.

PM condemns twin IED blasts in Peshawar

ISLAMABAD, May 18 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Wednesday condemned two blasts in Peshawar.

The Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to ensure special medical care of the injured.

A police official told APP in Peshawar that the blasts occurred with a gap of half an hour where two improvised explosive devices (IED) went off one after the other, injuring 17 people of whom one cop succumbed to his injuries at Lady Reading Hospital.

Talking to APP, he said this great victory has proven the strong international support with Ukraine, which was held in Stockholm, Sweden and millions of people around the globe watched Jamala take the coveted trophy.

The song, the Ambassador said, depicts 70 year back former Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin’s forcfull deportion of hundreds
of thousands of Tatars from Crimea with their families and Jamala’s relatives had suffered this tragedy.

Czech Republic keen to be part of CPEC

ISLAMABAD, May 18 (APP): Jan Fury, Ambassador of Czech Republic to Pakistan on Wednesday said that his country was extremely interested to participate in China Pakistan Economic Corridor and to access Central Asia states through Pakistan.

He said that a high level Pakistani delegation was due in Prague shortly. He said, “We would take up many issue including bilateral trade and cooperation, CPEC and route to the resource rich Central Asia.”

This he said while speaking to a meeting of Pak Czech Business Council here.

Pakistan providing Buddhist sacred bone relics to Sri Lanka for exposition

ISLAMABAD, May 18 (APP): Pakistan, in order to be part of
the most important annual Vesak Buddhist Festival falling on
May 21, is providing the most sacred bone relics of Lord Buddha to Sri Lanka for exposition throughout the country.

The exposition is being organized on the request of the
Sri Lankan government under the bilateral cooperation
agreement in the field of culture.

The relics will be arriving in Sri Lanka for an extended
period on the auspicious day of Vesak on May 21, 2016 and will be exhibited until Full Moon Poson Poya Day, according to a message recieved here from Colombo on Wednesday.
