ISLAMABAD, Feb 7 (APP): Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) will organize ” Message of Islam Conference” on February 10 with the aim to highlight its true message of love and peace. Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, Maulana Muhammad Ashrafi, speaking at press conference on Sunday said main objective of organizing the conference was to counter propaganda and wrong interpretation of extremists and terrorists in this regard.

Pervaiz lauds PIA workers for rejecting ‘politics of interests’

ISLAMABAD, Feb 7 (APP): Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said that those workers of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) deserved appreciation who had upheld the national interest by rejecting politics. He congratulated the PIA workers for realizing the problems being faced by the passengers while keeping the national prestige in view. FAISALABAD, Feb 6 (APP): State Minister for Water and Power Chauddhary Abid Sher Ali on Saturday said the government was striving hard to improve structure of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and for this purpose all available resources would be utilized on priority basis. Talking to the media after inaugurating cricket tournament at Bohranwali ground here, he said the PIA was put into heavy deficit by reinstating sacked employees and paying them heavy amounts under the garb of their arrears.

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 5 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Friday said Kashmir issue was a test for current leadership of Pakistan and India and peoples of both countries could not prosper and progress, until the lingering issue was resolved. Expressing optimism on initiation of bilateral dialogue process in the days ahead, the Prime Minister said resolution of all issues lies in mutual dialogue and added both India and Pakistan would have to think about the well-being and progress of their peoples. The Prime Minister was speaking at the joint session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council, in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
