PN continues water supply to Gwadar: Pak Navy

KARACHI, Feb 5 (APP): The provision of water to Gwadar through Pakistan Navy Tankers continues as another Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker PNS Nasr reached Gwadar port with 1,000 tons of fresh/drinking water onboard. The ongoing efforts of transporting fresh water from Karachi to Gwadar through Pakistan Navy Tankers and subsequently its distribution to area residence in coordination with the local district administration is paying the dividends as the present alarming situation at Gwadar City is getting improved through persistent water supply.
Kashmir Solidarity Day observed in Glasgow, Edinburgh
ISLAMABAD, Feb 5 (APP): Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed in Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland on Friday with the expression of complete solidarity and support for the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for the right of self-determination. A large protest demonstration was held outside the Indian Consulate in Edinburgh to express support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.

PM accepts resignation of Chairman PIA Nasir Jafar
ISLAMABAD, Feb 4 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Thursday accepted the resignation of Chairman Pakistan International Airlines Nasir Jafar, a spokesperson of the PM House said. The Chairman of the national flag carrier had tendered his resignation following the nation wide strike by its workers, against the proposed privatisation of the airline. According to the PM House Spokesperson the Secretary Aviation has been given the additional charge of the airline.

UNITED NATIONS, Feb 4 (APP): The two principal organs of the United Nations–Security Council and General Assembly — must make their actions “mutually reinforcing as well as consequential” so as to enable the world body to effectively meet the numerous challenges it faces, a top Pakistani diplomat said Tuesday. “The two organs must not be viewed through the prism of competition,” Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi said, as the stalled Inter-Governmental Negotiations aimed at reforming the Security Council resumed the process.
