Girgen Sunday said the peoples of Turkey and Pakistan had deep rooted friendly relations which would be made more strengthen by helping deprived segments of the societies.
He stated this while inaugurating automatic roti plant donated by the
Turkish Red Crescent society for orphanage of the Anjuman Faizul Islam (AFI) here at its Faizabad welfare Center.
Among others, Chairman of Turkish Red Crescent Society Dr. Saeed Elahi,
President of AFI Mohammad Siddique Akbar Mian, SVP Dr. Riaz Ahmed, and a large number of students of AFI were present on the occasion.
The ambassador paid tributes to the Anjuman for organizing collective
efforts for social reformation and progress.
Provision of shelter and necessities of life and facilities of education
to orphans and destitute children is one of the greatest services to humanity and Anjuman Faizul Islam is playing a purposeful role in this respect, he added.
The Turkish Red Crescent Society also donated over four hundred mattresses, blankets, pillows for inmates of the orphanage, called Apna Ghar.
The ambassador and chairman Turkish Red Crescent Society, Dr. Saeed Ellahi went round the residential blocks of Apna Ghar and appreciated the facilities being provided to the inmates.
The chairman of the Turkish Red Crescent society lauded the contribution of Anjuman Faizul Islam in social welfare and educational fields and offered the facility of first aid training to the students of institutions run by the Anjuman.
The President of Anjuman Faizul Islam, Mian Siddique Akbar earlier greeted the guests and thanked them for their magnanimous support in improving the facilities provided by the Anjuman to orphans and destitute children in Apna Ghar.
