LAHORE, Mar 04 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the people did not like
negative politics of leveling baseless allegations.
They just want development and progress and they would vote for
it in the general elections of 2018, he said in a statement.
The CM said that politics of lies would meet its logical end and the process
of development and prosperity would continue.
The chief minister said that development and progress was the right of the
people, which no one could stop. Those who halted the journey of progress were
actually the enemies of the public, he added.
The CM said that he had served people as a noble deed considering it worship
and his last breath was also dedicated to it. Today, Pakistan is more peaceful and
economically developed as compared with the past and people are benefiting from the
completion of energy, education, health and infrastructure projects, he added.
He said that Pakistan was moving forward on the road to development due to
balanced policies of the Pakistan Muslim League-N. Public welfare agenda is being
carried out successfully and whole world is surprised on the completion of energy
projects in record period of time.
Shehbaz Sharif said that transparency and standard of the PML-N government was
not only acknowledged by national institutions, but also by the international
organisations.
He said that Punjab province had performed better than all other provinces of the
country in various fields and politics of the PML-N were based on development and
progress. The PML-N leadership has always preferred the politics of values which is
the reason that it has made its place in the hearts of people.
He said that after Senate elections, the PML-N would also win
general election.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 4 (APP):Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahidullah Khan Sunday said the people would held accountability of all the political parties in general elections and would give votes to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on the basis of performance.
Talking to PTV, he said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had failed to deliver in the provinces where they were in power.
He said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government resolved major challenges in four and half year being faced by the country in 2013 including terrorism, power load-shedding and economic situation.
The minister said PTI and PPP were involved in horse trading in the recently held Senate elections and the both parties awarded tickets to the candidates who had no political background.
He said Members of Provincial Assembly of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa expressed their no confidence against the leadership by giving votes to other parties in Senate election.
Mushahidullah said the PML-N had achieved its target in the Senate elections and had become largest political party there.
He said Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed had never given importance to the Parliament as they used derogatory remarks against it and did not cast vote in Senate elections.
Opponents of the PML-N can not compete with the party in political field that was why they looked for unconstitutional ways to come into power, he said.
PML-N govt believes in serving masses: Aftab
ATTOCK, Mar 04 (APP):Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad has said that mega project of gas supply to nine villages of Attock district has been completed at the cost of Rs 2.5 billion.
He said this while addressing a gathering after inaugurating gas facility to Humak, Mehmoodabad , Akhori , Boota, Dhok Sawaaeen, Dhok Jawanda , Nawa , Kanjoor and Baryar.
He said, during the last five years, as many as 120 villages of Attock district were provided gas facility spending billion of rupees.
He said that the gas supply project would not only facilitate thousands of families but would also help control deforestation in the area.
He said that during the last five years, record development had taken place and its ample proof was completion of numerous projects while CPEC and Gawadar projects were under completion which would prove a game changer in the country and for the region as well.
He said that load shedding has been controlled while terrorist activities have also been curtailed. Sheikh Aftab while talking about the development of the Attock district said that agriculture university campus has been established while it’s building is under construction at the cost of one billion rupees, Medical College and cancer hospital will also be established here.
Sheikh Aftab while talking about the Senate elections said that PML-N has become dominant after bagging majority of the seats and hoped that in the forth coming general elections PML-N will emerge as a dominant party because of its performance.
He said, by having 33 seats in the Senate, PML-N is in position of electing Senate chairman. He said, we want development of the country and do not believe in the politics of containers and sit ins.
Sheikh Aftab said, we are heading towards our destination despite hurdles created by opponents. He said that soon PML-N will issue white paper regarding its achievements during the last five years.

BISP launches Special Board Game to create civic awareness among children
ISLAMABAD, Mar 4 (APP):Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), on Sunday launched special ‘Board Game’ to educate the children of BISP beneficiaries regarding civic education, protect their rights and secure themselves to ensure conducive environment for their better future.
Chairperson BISP Marvi Memon addressing the ceremony said that the programme initially launched in the federal capital would be soon introduced in all districts that would facilitate over five million beneficiaries across the country.
She informed that the famous cartoonist Googi and her team has designed the game to educate the children on various social, environment, moral, health and hygiene issues etc. The game includes messages on child protection, nutrition, child labor, freedom of speech, rights of women in Islam, gender discrimination, respect of parents, early marriages, education, drugs, public harassment, savings and many more, she further added.
Marvi Memon said that basic aim behind this board game is to make our youth aware of their roles and rights as citizens of Pakistan and in which ways they can contribute towards making it better, civilized and prosperous country.
She further added that Roots International School is their partner in this drive to disseminate the message of social awareness for a better tomorrow. “Currently 1.9 million children of BISP beneficiaries are getting quality education with other children ensuring their right of education for all”, she said.
Marvi Memon said with the help of local academic institutions, this innovative Board Game will be launched in all the major cities of the country.
Secretary BISP, Omer Hammed Khan on the occasion said, BISP has launched a number of programmes on protection of child rights. He added that these games have message for the whole society to keep aware, raise voice for their children and act promptly for ensuring safety of their children.
He informed that in the inauguration ceremony, BISP children from the nearby districts of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock, Harripur and Jehlum participated but soon people would get benefits of this initiative at their doorsteps.
Hundreds of children with their families took part in the moot and enjoyed the initiative taken by the BISP, Googi, the famous cartoonists and Roots International School.
Sharing their remarks on the occasion, Zafran BiBi, a BISP beneficiary from Rawalpindi said that she was quite happy for a kind of awareness games have been introduced which would help their children to keep them safe, learn good moral and social lessons.
Senate win proves PML-N will sweep 2018 general polls: Lawmakers
LAHORE, Mar 04 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz
(PML-N) leaders and lawmakers on Sunday said that results
of the Senate elections have proved that PML-N is the
largest political party of the country and will win coming
general election this year.
Talking to APP, Special Assistant to Prime Minister,
Member National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Nasir Iqbal Bosal
said that results of the Senate elections were writing
on the wall for the leaders of the politics of lies and
conflicts. He said the PML-N would sweep the 2018 general
polls with more majority than in the 2013 elections.
He said the PML-N would be triumphant in the court
of masses during general elections, 2018.
Senator saud Majeed said the PML-N cannot be expelled
from hearts of the people, adding politics of sit-ins and
disorder had been defeated and such politics had no place
in the country.
MPA Pir Ghulam Farid said that PTI would face a major
setback in the next general elections as its government
in KP had done nothing for the people’s welfare.
He said that no opponent can put finger at development
projects carried out by the PML-N government, adding
destinations become easy when one moves on with honesty,
passion and determination. “The last four years of the
PML-N government is the story of these pure emotions”,
he added.
He said that politics elements, who obstructed
development and prosperity through their negative politics
had been fully exposed. The PML-N government would win the
next elections because it had served the people selflessly,

PML-N govt brings CPEC, initiates 10,000 MW energy projects:Zubair
ISLAMABAD, Mar 4 (APP):Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair has said that credit goes to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N),
government for bringing China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and launching 10,000 megawatt power projects to resolve
loadshedding problems.
The PML-N government took initiatives for restoration of peace in Karachi, he said while talking to a private news channel.
Lamenting on the previous government’s performance in Karachi, he said they could not focus on improving the law and
order situation there.
Appreciating Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for record development projects in Punjab, he said that the chief minister
had made history due to excellent performance for the people of province.
Governor Sindh said that Imran Khan of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf could not win the elections during 20 years period but
he was running the party as chairman.
To a question he said that it was a challenge to bring CPEC projects to Pakistan and the credit goes to Nawaz Sharif.
Under the vision and leadership of Nawaz Sharif, motorways, energy projects, peace in Karachi, wiping out terrorism and
many other development works had been completed for the benefit of the people, he added.
COAS in Balochistan on two-day visit
RAWALPINDI, Mar 04 (APP):Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa is in the province
of Balochistan on a two-day visit, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)
statement issued here said on Sunday.
The COAS will visit Gawadar and Turbat to review security situation and
progress of Khushal Balochistan programme. He will also interact with local
elders.
Maryam Nawaz to address PML-N social media convention on Mar 8
FAISALABAD, Mar 4 (APP)::A rousing welcome will be accorded
to Maryam Nawaz on her arrival here on March 8 to address Pakistan
Muslim League-N social media convention.
Talking to APP, Mian Irfan Manan vice chairman Wasa and district coordinator social media convention said the convention would be
held in the historic ground of Iqbal Park (Dhobi Ghaat).
He said that 8 committees had been constituted to make

Cultural taboos, poverty making women more vulnerable to specific diseases: Health expert
ISLAMABAD, Mar 4 (APP):The country’s womenfolk is more vulnerable to specific diseases as compared to men due to
social, cultural and economic factors , a health expert warned on Sunday.
In an exclusive interview with APP Head of Department of gynecology at Pakistan Institution of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Syeda Batool Mazher said due to poverty, illiteracy and gender inequality women were more prone to comorbidities.The major factors she said are cultural taboos which do not allow them to talk freely about some particular health issues relating to family planning and reproductive system. “Women are even reluctant to share them with their real kin-ships and family physicians,” she added.
She said no doubt things were changing but at a snail’s pace as now women-specific health issues were taken up as a debate by the policy makers and legislators. She however stressed for action on war footing to give nation healthy future generations.
She urged women to adopt healthy dietary habits and daily exercise which at least does not demand much economic resources.She forcefully stressed to avoid heavyweight that may deteriorate the Poly-cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and could lead to Diabetes Mellitus and heart diseases in women.
While explaining the PCOS she said that the disease was a hormonal disorder that indicates the irregular periods, excess of male hormone (androgen) and enlarged poly-cystic ovaries among women of reproductive age.
When symptoms like facial hair, irregular menstrual cycles and development of numerous small collection of fluids (follicles) appeared ,women were advised to consult a doctor for quick remedy, she said.
She also urged the ladies to only consult registered physicians and never visit quacks to avoid further complexities.
FC Balochistan recovers arms, ammunition
RAWALPINDI, Mar 04 (APP):Frontier Corps (FC)Balochistan on Sunday conducted intelligence based operations (IBOs) in Dera
Bugti, Balochistan on terrorists’ suspected hideouts.
Cache of arms and ammunition,including RPG rockets, mines, explosive, detonators and ammunition were recovered,said a statement issued here.
The IBOs were carried out as part of the ongoing operation Radd ul
Fasaad.
