Youm- e- Istehsal observed across globe; events highlight India’s 2019 illegitimate actions

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): Pakistan missions and embassies in various capitals of the world, Tuesday, observed Youm-e-Istehsal-Kashmir to mark the 6th anniversary of India’s continued illegal actions of 5th August 2019, in which a large number of Pakistani diaspora and Kashmiris participated.

The messages of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and were read out during these events and special documentaries highlighting atrocities of Indian Government in IIOJK were also screened.

ABU DHABI:-

Pakistan embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates observed the day to highlight India’s illegal steps aimed at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).

In his statement, Charge d’affaires Qasim Aziz highlighted the importance of observance of the Youm-e-Istehsal and recalled India’s brutality in IIOJK resulting in violation of fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.

He referred to illegal actions of 5 August 2019 as a blatant violation of international law including the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolutions.

He emphasized the need of international community’s active role in resolving the Jammu & Kashmir dispute in line with aspirations of Kashmiri people and pursuant to the UNSC Resolutions.

He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiri people in their just struggle for realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.

TEHRAN:-

Embassy of Pakistan, Tehran organized an event to denounce the abrogation of article 35 A and 370 of the constitution that guarantee special autonomous status for Jammu & Kashmir by Indian Government on 5th August 2019 which aimed at changing demography in illegally Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).

The event was attended by Pakistani nationals, students and media representative in large number.

Prominent Iranian scholars Dr. Qasim Safi and Samaneh Khalafzadeh while addressing the audience highlighted the struggle of Kashmiris for their independence and right of self-determination. They also appreciated the role of Pakistan and its leadership to support the Kashmir cause at every forum and raising the voice against human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

On the occasion, Deputy Head of Mission Ismat Hassan Sial mentioned that Iranian leadership has also given a great regard to struggle in Kashmir and at multiple times called upon the world community to break its silence on the human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir.

In her remarks, she said that Kashmiris were subjected to barbarism of Indian forces since October 1947. The Indian security forces have maimed, executed, murdered, blinded, raped, and suffocated the innocent Kashmiris.

“Pakistan has always been calling upon world leaders, international community including the United Nations, and all Human rights organizations to urge India to halt the brutal use of force against the people of Kashmir and resolve the issue diplomatically under the charter of the United Nations Security Council,” she added.

EGYPT:-

A minute of silence was observed by Pakistan Embassy in Egypt by the Ambassador, embassy Officials earlier on Youm e Estehsal to honour the relentless sacrifices of valiant Kashmiri people for the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.

JORDAN:-

Pakistan Embassy in Jordan organized a seminar to mark Youm-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation,Kashmir), highlighting the ongoing oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). The event was attended by distinguished members of the academia, think tanks, media, and other notables from Jordan.

Speakers strongly condemned the atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK and emphasized the urgent need to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

CAPE TOWN:-

High Commissioner Malik Farooq attended the Youm-e-Ishtehsal event in Cape Town organized by PASA Official.

He highlighted Indian atrocities in IIOJK & reaffirmed ‘s support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. Ganief Hendricks, Khalid Syed & local MPs also joined.

TOKYO:-

The Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo observed the sixth anniversary of Youm-e-Istehsal. On this occasion, the embassy also organized a photographic exhibition to highlight the human rights situation in IIOK.

IGP issues relief orders on various cops requests

LAHORE, Aug 05 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with police employees and their families and listened to their problems and issued orders for immediate relief.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, on the request of DSP Allah Yar Saifi for transfer, DIG Headquarters Punjab was directed to provide relief. On the request of Senior Clerk Farhan Ahmad for transfer, DIG SPU was directed to provide relief. On the application of the widow of deceased ASI Muhammad Mansha, DIG Welfare and Finance was directed to provide relief. On the request of Constable Muhammad Ramzan, Additional IG CCD was directed to provide relief. On the application for medical financial assistance by Ghazi Constable Adnan Ashraf, DIG Welfare and Finance was directed to provide relief. On the application of the mother of Driver Constable Imran, SP Cantt Lahore was directed to provide relief. On the application for medical financial assistance by Constable Muhammad Asif, DIG Welfare and Finance was directed to provide relief.
The IGP also issued directives on other applications related to discipline, administration, promotion and welfare.

ISSI commemorates Youm-e-Istehsal with Seminar on “August 5, 2019: Another Turning Point in the Jammu and Kashmir Dispute”

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): The India Study Centre (ISC) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) on Tuesday hosted a seminar, titled “August 5, 2019: Another Turning Point in the Jammu and Kashmir Dispute.”
The event was organized to commemorate the struggle, resolve, and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, and observe Youm-e-Istehsal to condemn India’s unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019, with regard to the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), said a press release.
Ambassador Masood Khan, Former President of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, Additional Secretary (Asia Pacific), Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan, as the Guest of Honour. Speakers included Ambassador Sohail Mahmood, Director General ISSI; Ambassador Khalid Mahmood, Chairman BoG, ISSI; Dr. Sheikh Waleed Rasool, Assistant Professor, Riphah International University; Dr. Raja Qaiser Ahmed, Assistant Professor, SPIR, Quaid-e-Azam University; Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani, Chairman Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR); Ms. Naila Altaf Kayani, Human Rights Activist; Mr. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Former Convener of APHC AJK; and Barrister Nida Salam, Lawyer, Islamabad High Court.
In his remarks on the occasion, Ambassador Sohail Mahmood said that for the last six years, the IIOJK had remained the ‘most militarized zone’ in the world; the suppression of Kashmiris by Indian security forces reached unseen scale; and the human rights violations escalated to the level of ‘crimes against humanity’ with ‘collective punishment’ of entire communities. However, despite all its wanton repression, India has neither been able to dampen the spirit of the Kashmiris nor break their will to fight for their inalienable right to self-determination.
New Delhi is now making an unacceptable assault on the Kashmiris’ rights, land, and distinct cultural identity and working to turn the Kashmiri Muslim majority into a minority on their own soil. These sinister designs indicate replication of the Israeli model to implement a ‘settler-colonial project’, he added.
Ambassador Sohail Mahmood noted that, unable to control the resistance movement by force, India has reverted to its familiar ploy of branding the indigenous Kashmiri struggle as “terrorism” and accusing Pakistan of complicity in the so-called “cross-border terrorism.” Failing to use the Pahalgam attack of 22 April 2025 to deter Pakistan militarily and diplomatically, New Delhi has now weaponized water. Its willful smear campaign against Kashmiris and Pakistan and reckless military adventurism show that the Hindutva-driven BJP government has no interest in stability and peaceful co-existence.
While reflecting on Pakistan’s steadfast support for the just cause of the Kashmiri people, Ambassador Sohail Mahmood emphasized that India and the international community must recognize that Kashmir is a dangerous flashpoint and that durable peace and stability in South Asia remains contingent upon a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UNSC resolutions. This, he stressed, can only be ensured through the collective endeavours of Kashmiris, Pakistan, and the world community.
In his remarks, chief guest Ambassador Masood Khan warned that the unresolved Kashmir dispute will intensify the smog of war in South Asia, making it catastrophic for the region and the world. He noted that the Indo-Pak conflict of May 2025 challenged the narrative of India’s regional military dominance and brought renewed focus on Kashmir as central to South Asia’s long-term peace and stability.
Discussing Pakistan’s position on Kashmir, Ambassador Khan highlighted the potential of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora to reach global conscience regarding the plight of the Kashmiri people. He emphasized the need for sustained understanding of India’s socio-political landscape and its strategic culture through dedicated research initiatives.
While lauding Pakistan’s efforts to raise the Kashmir Issue at global forums including the UN Security Council, General Assembly, and Human Rights Council, Ambassador Masood Khan called for stronger communication with global institutions and decision-making bodies.  Further, he advised Pakistan to remain vigilant of any new development with regard to the political status of IIOJK and strategically respond to it.
Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui noted that India’s demographic and electoral engineering in IIOJK following 5 August 2019 was in clear violation of the International Law, International Humanitarian Law, Article 1 of the UN Charter, and the 4th Geneva Convention. The incarceration of Kashmiri political leadership and a cap on political activity in the occupied territory reflect the broader design of eliminating truly representative political class.
While reemphasizing Pakistan’s resolve to firmly stand with the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, Ambassador Imran Siddiqui stressed that ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ was a renewed call for international community to address the miseries taking place under the Indian occupation and resolve the dispute according to the will of the Kashmiri people. He reiterated Pakistan’s full support for the Kashmiris until the realization of their right to self-determination.
Earlier, Dr. Khurram Abbas in his introductory remarks noted that, following its actions of 5 August 2019, India was determined to erase the Kashmiri identity through a myriad of structural and cultural changes. Lacking any legal, political, and moral basis, unilateral actions of India related to Indus Waters Treaty or Jammu and Kashmir are fueling chaos and uncertainty, and squeezing the space for meaningful engagement.
Dr. Sheikh Waleed Rasool, while presenting a historical overview of the Kashmiri struggle, shed light on administrative measures being taken by India to disenfranchise and dispossess Kashmiri Muslims in the aftermath of 5 August 2019.
Moreover, drawing from an academic background, Dr. Raja Qaiser Ahmed presented an overview of India’s shifting constitutional narratives on IIOJK and how they contributed to New Delhi’s fiercer occupation of the territory. He called upon the youth to engage in deep research and produce quality academic work to contribute to global awareness about the Kashmir issue.
Altaf Hussain Wani explained how Kashmiri people were broken due to broken promises and the world silence on their miseries.  He also highlighted how the UN human rights machinery and international human rights organizations had helped advance the cause and stressed that more engagement on these platforms would facilitate efforts for breaking the ‘silence.’
Similarly, Ms. Naila Altaf Kayani explained the civilizational, cultural, and linguistic suppression of the Kashmiri people at the hands of Indian occupying forces. She underscored that the Indian state was not just erasing the political identity but the cultural soul and very existence of Kashmiris. She stressed that it was crucial to continue to raise awareness and resist this systematic erasure.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani reinforced the need to build on the current global environment favouring Pakistan and the Kashmir cause. Barrister Nida Salam highlighted that no international legal framework permitted India to declare Kashmir its internal matter and that its status cannot be altered without a UN-supervised plebiscite.
The seminar was concluded with remarks by Ambassador Khalid Mahmood, Chairman BoG, ISSI.

CDA, PLRA to sign MoU for digitization of land records, e-stamp papers

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Punjab Land & Revenue Authority (PLRA) to digitize land records and introduce an e-stamp paper system in Islamabad.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Tuesday.
Speaking after the meeting, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the transformative potential of this initiative. “Digitizing CDA’s land records on modern lines will not only facilitate the public in matters of property transfer, inheritance, and transactions, but also enhance record security and operational efficiency,” he said.
The initiative aligns with the federal government’s broader digital transformation agenda, driven by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, to ensure greater transparency and citizen-friendly reforms in public service delivery.
According to officials, the CDA’s IT Wing, Estate Wing, and Finance Wing have collaborated closely with PLRA to develop a practical framework for the rollout.
The system will allow for the streamlined issuance of e-stamp papers, helping to reduce fraudulent practices and address longstanding public grievances related to manual property documentation.
“This MoU is more than a bureaucratic formality—it represents CDA’s commitment to modernizing its services using digital tools that directly benefit the citizens,” Randhawa added.
Once operational, the system is expected to significantly cut red tape, reduce physical visits to CDA offices, and provide a secure, efficient alternative to traditional land record management.
The partnership with PLRA, which has already implemented similar systems in Punjab, is seen as a model for inter-agency collaboration aimed at improving public service across provinces.
The MoU is expected to be officially signed in the coming weeks.
Senior CDA officials including Member Administration and Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, and Member Finance Tahir Naeem were present.
The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad also attended, while representatives from PLRA and the State Bank of Pakistan joined via video link.

Five members of criminal gang arrested; valuables recovered

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Tuesday arrested five members of a criminal gang, including a woman, during an operation in Bani Gala and recovered stolen valuables from their possession.
A police spokesperson told APP that the operation was carried out as part of an indiscriminate crackdown against criminal elements involved in theft and other unlawful activities in the federal capital. The Bani Gala police team, using technical and human intelligence, apprehended the accused identified as Muhammad Zarrar, Tariq Masih, Safeer Ahmed, Ali Raza, and Saddam Hussain.
The spokesperson said the police also recovered a stolen mobile phone and a snatched motorcycle from the accused. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and further investigation is underway to trace their criminal network.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said the ICT Police was taking all necessary measures to protect the lives and property of citizens. “No criminal will be allowed to disturb public peace,” he added.

NA marks Youm-e-Istehsal with pledge of support to Kashmiris, unanimously passes resolution

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): The National Assembly on Tuesday observed Youm-e-Istehsal with a unanimous reaffirmation of Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right to self-determination, as enshrined in United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Lawmakers from across the political spectrum in their discussions on Kashmir in National Assembly condemned India’s August 5, 2019 illegal and unilateral actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and unanimously passed a resolution rejecting New Delhi’s measures and demanding their reversal.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and Safron  Engr. Amir Muqam, who read the resolution in Urdu, denounced the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, citing decades of oppression, thousands of custodial killings and widespread demolitions in IIOJK.
He praised the Kashmiris’ resilience and noted that rallies across the country, including a large gathering at D-Chowk, sent a strong message to the world.
Shazia Marri read the resolution in English, which rejected India’s illegal actions, condemned grave human rights violations and demanded the reversal of all demographic engineering attempts. The House unanimously adopted the resolution.
Former Speaker National Assembly and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said the entire Pakistani nation, irrespective of political affiliation, stood united for the cause of Kashmir. He recalled the Pakistan Peoples Party’s historic stance on the dispute, quoting Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s resolve to fight for a thousand years if necessary, Benazir Bhutto’s pledge that “wherever the sweat of a Kashmiri falls, our blood will fall,” and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s declaration that “we will take every inch of Kashmir.”
Ashraf paid tribute to the people of IIOJK for their courage in the face of atrocities, including demographic changes, restrictions on movement, and human rights abuses, and said their determination for freedom could not be crushed by any power in the world.
Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai stressed the importance of constitutional supremacy and cautioned against policies that erode public trust, while PTI leader Amir Dogar called for safeguarding democratic freedoms alongside supporting the Kashmiri cause.
Former Punjab governor Latif Khosa criticised judicial and political decisions that weakened constitutional principles while reiterating support for Kashmir’s cause and the protection of rights within Pakistan. Khawaja Sheraz underlined the need for national unity on Kashmir while addressing governance and security challenges at home.
Bajaur lawmaker Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Tribal Affairs (SAPM) Mubarak Zeb Khan condemned targeted killings in the district, calling for an immediate halt to operations and proper arrangements for displaced families.
Hameed Hussain voiced solidarity with Kashmiris and appealed for the removal of road travel restrictions for Arbaeen pilgrims.
Federal Minister for National Health Services and MQM-Pakistan leader Syed Mustafa Kamal said India had long sought to divert attention from Kashmir by fuelling unrest in Karachi and Balochistan, crediting Pakistan’s civil and military leadership for dismantling RAW’s networks in Karachi.
Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Aslam Ghumman praised the armed forces for safeguarding the country and condemned political victimisation of opposition leaders. Sehar Kamran termed Narendra Modi a “low-version Hitler” and condemned atrocities in IIOJK, urging the OIC and regional countries to take decisive action.
Sardar Sanaullah Khan Masti Khel criticised the detention of PTI founder Imran Khan and called for a “Charter of Pakistan” to ensure all state institutions operate strictly within constitutional limits. Mubeen Haris condemned selective application of laws, saying those responsible for repeated constitutional breaches cannot claim to be its guardians.
Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman proposed holding a National Assembly session in Kashmir to demonstrate solidarity before the world, while Ehsan ul Haq Bajwa urged the Prime Minister to announce relief for flood-hit areas in Punjab, particularly Bahawalnagar, where heavy rains had inundated hundreds of villages.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 5 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, met with Siana Group USA Chairman, M Ashraf Qazi and discussed with him the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills, business collaboration, investment prospects in Pakistan and iron ore export potential.
According to press release issued by the Ministry of Industries and Production, the SAPM emphasized that Pakistan offered immense opportunities in the iron and steel sector and that reviving the steel industry was a top priority of the government.
He said the government was fully committed to facilitating investors and would provide all necessary support to encourage foreign and local investment.
“Investment in the steel sector is vital for Pakistan’s industrial development,” he said, adding that concrete steps were being taken to create an investor-friendly environment.

Pakistan working closely with UAE counterparts to explore new opportunities in maritime sector: Minister

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar on Tuesday said that inauguration of AD Ports Group   office in Islamabad would strengthen maritime and logistics cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the minister said the establishment of the AD Ports Group’s presence in Islamabad reflects the deepening strategic partnership between the two nations and signals a shared vision for transforming the maritime and logistics landscape of the region.
He acknowledged AD Ports Group’s growing role in Pakistan’s maritime sector, particularly in improving port operations. “This collaboration has already delivered measurable outcomes—enhancing efficiency, reducing vessel turnaround time, and increasing cargo throughput,” he noted.
Describing the partnership as a model of public-private and international cooperation, the minister said the opening of the Islamabad office will accelerate future initiatives and boost maritime development.
“The Ministry of Maritime Affairs remains open to further investments and collaboration. We welcome new partnerships that align with our goal of a modern, competitive, and connected maritime sector,” he said.
The minister concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with UAE counterparts to explore new opportunities and advance mutual maritime interests.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarrar, and Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi graced the event with their presence.
Senior leadership from AD Ports Group also participated, including Mr. Abdulaziz Zayed Al Shamsi and Mr. AbdulAziz Al Balooshi, Regional CEOs of AD Ports Group, along with Mr. Khurram Aziz Khan, CEO of KGTL and KGTML.
The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, was also present.
At the conclusion of the event, the federal ministers were presented with souvenirs by Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi and representatives of the AD Ports Group as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for the continued collaboration between the two countries.

NCCIA challenges verdict to form commission in blasphemy cases

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP): National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Tuesday also filed an intra court appeal (ICA) to Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the order for formation of a commission to probe the allegations of blasphemy.
Advocate Rao Abdul Rahim and others have already challenged the decision of single member bench. The division bench has already suspended the decision to form the commission.
The single bench had ordered the formation of the commission within 30 days.

Members of the British Parliament, lawyers, human right activists and the guest speakers condemned the action of Indian government to revoke Article 370-A illegally and unconstitutionally, 6 years ago. During their remarks, the speakers expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, calling on India to halt human rights abuses in IIOJK. They underscored the urgent need to resolve the Jammu & Kashmir dispute in line with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. They suggested drawing up a road-map comprising of actions and activities for outreach to the UK Parliament and decision makers, for a just solution of the dispute.

During his key-note address at the seminar, High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal emphasized the importance of unity among Kashmiris and Pakistanis worldwide to effectively advocate for the Kashmir cause.  

He strongly condemned India’s brutal tactics in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including arbitrary detentions of Hurriyat leaders, media suppression, communication blackouts, enforced disappearances, torture, and extrajudicial killings. 

Dr. Faisal highlighted the nation’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces during Operation Bunyan Al-Marsoos, which led to the decisive success of Marka-e-Haq. 

Prior to the seminar, the High Commission hosted a photo exhibition showcasing evidence of atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK.  

The harrowing images served as a stark reminder of the ongoing human rights crisis and the necessity of a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.  

Attendees also observed a minute of silence to honor the martyrs of Kashmir.

Pakistan embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates observed the day to highlight India’s illegal steps aimed at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).  

In his statement, Charge d’affaires Qasim Aziz highlighted the importance of observance of the Youm-e-Istehsal and recalled India’s brutality in IIOJK resulting in violation of fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.

He referred to illegal actions of 5 August 2019 as a blatant violation of international law including the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolutions.  

He emphasized the need of international community’s active role in resolving the Jammu & Kashmir dispute in line with aspirations of Kashmiri people and pursuant to the UNSC Resolutions.

He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiri people in their just struggle for realization of their inalienable right to self-determination. 

TEHRAN:- 

Embassy of Pakistan, Tehran organized an event to denounce the abrogation of article 35 A and 370 of the Indian constitution that guaranteed special autonomous status for Jammu & Kashmir on 5th August 2019. These actions were aimed at changing demography of the illegally Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).  

The event was attended by Pakistani nationals, students and media representatives in large number. 

Prominent Iranian scholars Dr. Qasim Safi and Samaneh Khalafzadeh while addressing the audience highlighted the struggle of Kashmiris for their independence and right of self-determination.

They also appreciated the role of Pakistan and her leadership to support the Kashmir cause at every forum and raising the voice against human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). 

On the occasion, Deputy Head of Mission Ismat Hassan Sial mentioned that Iranian leadership has also given a great regard to struggle in Kashmir and at multiple times called upon the world community to break its silence on the human rights violations in Jammu & Kashmir.   

In her remarks, she said that Kashmiris were subjected to barbarism of Indian forces since October 1947. The Indian security forces have maimed, executed, murdered, blinded, raped, and suffocated the innocent Kashmiris.  

“Pakistan has always been calling upon world leaders, international community including the United Nations, and all Human rights organizations to urge India to halt the brutal use of force against the people of Kashmir and resolve the issue diplomatically under the charter of the United Nations Security Council,” she added.

EGYPT:-

Pakistan Embassy in Cairo held a seminar on “Kashmir: A Bleeding Wound Shaking the Collective Conscience of the Free World” in observance of Youm-e-Istehsal.

The panelists in their presentations, condemned Indian occupation forces’ unabated state oppression on innocent Kashmiris, human rights violations, and questioned the malafide conviction and sentencing of Kashmiri political leadership and human right activists.

They expressed serious concerns at Indian government’s anti-Kashmiri and anti-Muslim policies, attempts to change the demography of the occupied territory by unilaterally and illegally changing the autonomous status of the region on 5 August 2019, and urged the international community to play a role in facilitating a just and peaceful solution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UNSC resolution and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

Ambassador Aamir Shouket in his remarks underscored necessity of immediate resolution of the Kashmir dispute to avoid a catastrophic nightmare in South Asia.

He stated that Kashmir and Palestine issues have remained unresolved for decades because India and Israel do not want the valiant people of Kashmir and Palestine to find peace. The Ambassador stated that the participation of varied and notably large gathering of Egyptian brethren today sends a strong message to the oppressed people in IIOJK and Palestine that we are standing behind them morally, politically and diplomatically.

The ambassador noted with satisfaction that Pakistan and Egypt have successfully defeated the menace of terrorism for the sake of peace, stability and development. The Ambassador concluded his remarks by stating that peace in South Asia and the Middle East will remain elusive till the resolution of the Kashmir and Palestine issues under the relevant UN resolutions and in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris and Palestinians.

A large number of intellectuals, journalists, students and Pakistani community members attended the event. A special documentary highlighting Indian state atrocities in IIOJK was also screened at the Seminar.

An event to observe “Youme-Istehsal-e-Kashmir” was organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan and Pakistani community in Jeddah to express solidarity with Kashmiris in the face of Indian atrocities and violation of international laws and obligations.  

On this day India officially revoked the autonomous status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and imposed direct central rule. 

Key speakers on the occasion included Consul General of Pakistan Khalid Majid, Permanent Representative to the OIC Jeddah, Syed Fawad Sher, Chairman Kashmir Committee Jeddah, Masood Ahmed Puri and Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Community Overseas, Engineer Arif Mughal.  

The speakers highlighted the genesis of the Kashmir dispute and the ongoing situation in the occupied territory; condemned illegal, immoral and unilateral actions of 5th August 2019 by India; paid homage and tribute to the resilience of the Kashmiri people; appreciated the positive role by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the OIC for Kashmir cause; and presented various proposals as future course of action for a peaceful and durable resolution of the Kashmir dispute. 

A cross-section of the Pakistani and Kashmir community as well as representative of the ethnic media participated in the event in large numbers.
It was concluded with collective prayer for the martyrs of the Kashmir cause, early peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute and peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. 

DUBAI:- 

The Consulate General of Pakistan, Dubai, held an event to observe Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, marking the sixth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, which aimed to alter the internationally recognized disputed status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).  

Several members from the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities residing in the UAE attended the gathering.  

Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, underscored the significance of observing Youm-e-Istehsal as a symbol of support for the oppressed people of IIOJK.

He reiterated that India’s unilateral steps are a clear violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and the UN Charter.  

He emphasized that these illegal actions have further aggravated the human rights situation in the occupied territory, but cannot suppress the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.

The Consul General stressed that the only durable solution to the Kashmir dispute lies in its resolution in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant UNSC resolutions.  

He reaffirmed that the just settlement of the Kashmir issue remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.  

He assured that Pakistan will continue to extend unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for freedom.  

Highlighting the current year’s significance, he referred to the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, victoriously carried out by Pakistan in response to Indian aggression, as a symbol of national resilience. 

FRANCE:-

At the event held by the Embassy of Pakistan in France, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that six years ago, India took a set of illegal and unilateral actions on 5 August 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) by scrapping IIOJK’s special status and ending the last remaining semblance of autonomy.

She said that India took these measures to further consolidate its control over IIOJK; undermining its internationally-recognized disputed status; and to convert Kashmiris into a dispossessed and disempowered minority in their own land.

“The Jammu & Kashmir dispute is our national cause and the main pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy. Pakistan will therefore continue to call upon the international community to hold India accountable for its crimes in IIOJK.”

Prominent speakers while condemning India’s unilateral and illegal actions of 5 August 2019 as blatant violations of UNSC resolutions and international law the speakers demanded that the same must be reversed by the Indian Government.

They denounced Indian efforts to alter the demographic composition of the occupied territory by issuance of domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris, introduction of new laws on ownership of land and redrawing electoral constituencies in IIOJK converting Kashmiris as a minority in their own land.

A large number of people representing Pakistani diaspora, academics, journalists, students and professionals participated in the event that highlighted the seven decades long legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.

CANADA:-

The High Commission for Pakistan in Ottawa and the three Consulates General in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver solemnly observed the Youm-e-Istehsaal, marking the sixth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 2019, when it revoked Articles 370 and 35-A of its Constitution to strip the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region of its special status.

A ceremony was held at the High Commission in Ottawa to express unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

A documentary illustrating the crimes committed in IIOJK was shown granting attendees a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by the Kashmiris in IIOJK.

Photographic exhibition was also organized to display Indian atrocities. Moreover, one minute silence was also observed to express solidarity with people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle against India’s illegal occupation.

The events were attended by large number of Pakistani Diaspora members and friends of the Kashmir cause.

Addressing the participants on the occasion, High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem expressed that what India trumpeted as “integration,” is forced annexation attempt.

On August 5, 2019, India violated its own constitutional provision as Article 370—Kashmir’s fragile legal shield-was revoked. Pakistan condemned it as an illegal annexation. India called it “normalcy.”

After six years, India’s claim of reform has now exposed the failed narrative of integration. He called upon the UN, the international community, human rights organizations and global media to take urgent notice of the grave human rights violations in IIOJK, hold India accountable for its actions and support the Kashmiri people in their rightful quest for self-determination.
