Swedish Maj.General named to head UN observer force in India and Pakistan

UNITED NATIONS, June 8 (APP): UN Secretary General Ban Ki moon has
appointed Major General Per Lodin of Sweden as Chief Military Observer and Head of Mission for the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP), which monitors the ceasefire in disputed Jammu and Kashmir, a UN spokesman said Wednesday.

General Lodin succeeds Major General Delali Johnson Sakyi of Ghana,
who completes his two year assignment on July 2. “The Secretary General is grateful to Major General Sakyi for his contribution to United Nations Peacekeeping,” the spokesman said.

With a military career in the Swedish Army beginning in 1978, Major
General Lodin most recently held the position of Director of Procurement and Logistics for the Swedish Armed Forces. Previous to this he was the Deputy Director of the National Armaments for Sweden (2012 2014).

General Lodin also served as Director of Strategic Planning and
Development (2008), Head of Strategies, Research and Development and Business Development (2007) and Deputy Chief of Staff at the Swedish Armed Forces (2005 2006).

General Lodin is a member of the Swedish Academy of Military Science.
He holds a diploma from the Graduate Institute of International studies based in Geneva and attended the United Nations Senior Mission Leaders course in 2015.

UNMOGIP was deployed in January 1949 to supervise the ceasefire between India and Pakistan in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The group, based in Rawalpindi, is composed of 44 military observers,
supported by 25 international civilian personnel and 47 local civilian staff.

and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Wednesday condoled
the passing away of President of India chapter of South Asia Free
Media Association, Mr K.K.Katyal.

Hailing from Jhang Mr Katyal besides being a distinguished
journalist worked for improving ties between India and Pakistan.

Mr Katyal was one of those influential opinion makers in India
who advocated peace and amity in the region for the progress and welfare of the people inhabiting SAARC countries.

Nisar directs NADRA to ensure timeline in launching CNIC re verification drive

ISLAMABAD, Jun 8 (APP): Minister for Interior Minister Chaudhry
Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday directed the National Database
and Registration Authority (NADRA) to ensure that set
timelines are strictly followed for launch of the CNIC
re verification drive across the country.

The Interior Minister was chairing a meeting here
on Wednesday attended by Secretary Interior, National Coordinator NACTA, DG Immigration and Passport, DG ANF, Chairman NADRA, IG Islamabad, DG Civil Defence and chief commissioner Islamabad.

The minister directed NADRA chairman to speed up putting in place
the required systems for launching the re verification drive within shortest possible time.

“No slackness will be tolerated on part of any official at
any level in relation to the launch of CNIC re verification drive and it has to be completed within a span of six months,” the Interior Minister directed the chairman NADRA.

The minister asserted, that a set timeline also be given by
NADRA for sending short message service (SMS) to all the 105
million CNIC customers.

This important national security objective can only be
achieved, he said, once the CNIC re verification drive comes to a successful end with elimination of aliens from NADRA’s database.

The chairman NADRA briefed the minister over the
media campaign prepared by NADRA for awareness of the general public in relation to re verification drive of CNICs.

The minister also approved the central database format prepared by NADRA meant for the proclaimed offenders.

He was informed that FIA, ICT Police and ANF have so
far provided record of 7,678 Proclaimed Offenders for inclusion
in the central databank. It is worth mentioning that Islamabad
Police since April till date has arrested 1,196 POs.

The minister directed that all the law enforcement
agencies should benefit from the central data registry
of proclaimed offenders being maintained by NADRA.

He also directed FIA, ANF and Islamabad Police to speed
up their operation for ensuring the arrest of proclaimed offenders who are involved in heinous crimes with zero tolerance approach.

He ordered IG Islamabad for putting in place a transparent
and merit based recruitment system to give equal opportunities to talented youth to become part of Islamabad Police force.

The Director General Immigration and Passport briefed the interior minister about the online renewal of passports. The minister
directed DG immigration to ensure that online facility is made available to the expatriates and citizens living in Pakistan at the minimum possible additional cost.

Discussing the Safe City Project, the minister ordered that
a weekly report should be submitted by the Islamabad Police to
his office about the gains made through the $125 million Safe
City Project towards improved policing in the federal capital.

He directed IG Islamabad Police that all police stations in
ICT should submit a weekly report to his office with regards to registration of FIRs and action taken on them especially apprehending proclaimed offenders.

The minister said that weekly report on heinous crime in federal capital including murder, robbery, kidnapping and kidnapping for ransom,
and car snatching should also be submitted to his office.

Finance Minister reviews draft Companies Bill, 2016

ISLAMABAD, Jun 8 (APP): Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting here on Wednesday to review the progress of draft Companies Bill 2016.

Chairman SECP, Zafar-ul-Haq Hijazi briefed the meeting on the consultative process carried out by the Commission for making the bill a comprehensive law covering all aspects of corporate governance.

He said that SECP had held extensive consultations with all stakeholders and had also held seminars to disseminate information regarding the new bill as well as to solicit recommendations for the various sectors.

The suggestions and recommendations received during the process had been analyzed by SECP and those found to be logical and feasible had been incorporated in the draft.

The Minister on the occasion said that the proposed law carries due significance for efficient and effective regulation of corporate sector.

He said the proposed bill must reflect the international best practices.

He also gave instructions for further improvements and finalization of the draft bill so that it could then be placed before the Cabinet before introduction in the Parliament for enactment.

Senior officials of the SECP, Ministry of Finance and FBR participated in the meeting.

FO rejects news item regarding ministry’s senior functionaries

ISLAMABAD, Jun 8 (APP): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday rejected as “totally false, irresponsible and unfounded” a news story carried by a certain section of the media regarding senior functionaries of the ministry.

“It may also be noted that an unintended consequence of such stories could be seriously detrimental to the functioning of state institutions mandated with responsibility relating to international relations and national security issues,” a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here said.

ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): As part of the country’s continuing diplomatic efforts towards mobilizing support for Pakistan’s application
for the membership of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), Adviser to PM on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, spoke over telephone with Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Adviser also contacted, over phone, the Foreign Ministers of New-Zealand, Murray McCully, and Republic of Korea, Yun Byung-se, to highlight Pakistan’s credentials for the NSG membership with a view to seek their support, a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here said.

His interlocutors expressed support for a non-discriminatory approach on NSG expansion to non-NPT states, the press release added.

According to a statement, the Chinese Ambassador enquired about the health of the Prime Minister, who underwent a successful cardiac surgery in London last week.

The Ambassador expressed the hope that the Prime Minister would be in the best of his health soon.

Governor approves various developmental schemes for FATA uplift

PESHAWAR, June 8 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engr. Iqbal
Zafar Jhagra Wednesday has approved various development schemes of over Rs 2243.980 million for the uplift and prosperity of Federal Administered Tribal Areas.

He said all out efforts were being made to address the difficulties and
problems getting in the way of smooth development of the tribal region adding that all possible resources are being utilized to ensure the expeditious completion of uplift projects in FATA.

These projects will pave the way for a new era of economic and social
prosperity for tribesmen as developed FATA was the guarantee of lasting peace in the entire region, he added.

He was chairing the 3rd meeting of FATA Development Council (FDC) at
Governor House, Peshawar which was attended by Joint Secretary SAFRON, Tariq Hayat,

Additional Chief Secretary FATA, Muhammad Aslam Kamboh, Principal secretary to Governor, Sikandar Qayum, Secretary Law and Order and P&D FATA, Shakil Qadir, Secretary SS&D FATA, waqar ul Hasan, Additional Secretary Development FATA, and Chief Economist and other relevant officials of FATA Secretariat. Secretary P&D FATA also briefed the Council about the rehabilitation and development schemes in tribal areas.

FATA Development Council, on the occasion, under the chairmanship of the Governor has given approval of the total development outlay of Rs. 2443.980 million for the 07 development schemes in FATA.

Of the approved amount, Rs. 1109.691 million has been set aside for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads in Khyber Agency including construction of 21 KM long road from Sandana to Mastak at Tehsil Jamrud, construction of 20 km road from Dawa Toi to sandana Shin Qamar which will benefit 0.3 million people of the area  and construction of 17 km road fromJamrud to Chappare via Gudar in Khyber agency.

The Governor also approved Rs. 148.863 for the construction of Black Top  road from waly Ghaiba to karham in FR DI Khan. The amount of worth Rs. 300 million was also approved for Integrated Area development Program in Khyber Agency including communication schemes, agriculture cum forestry, livestock, Public health engineering and irrigation projects.

These projects will accelerate the economic growth in depressed areas
of the Agency and will increase the local anticipation and distribute the resources equitably to promote the sustainability. Governor has also given approval of Rs 364.083 million for the construction of Female Section in AHQ B-category Hospital at Tehsil Miranshah under the rehabilitation and reconstruction Program for the temporarily dislocated persons in FATA.

To reduce burden on the poor students and to increase literacy rate in
FATA, the Governor has also approved of Rs. 321.343 million for the provision of better education facilities to the tribal students.

Addressing the meeting, the Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said
comprehensive steps have been taken to ensure the successful return of TDPs and their rehabilitation. He said peace has been restored in the tribal region and now we are heading towards the phase of peace and development.

He directed the officers concerned that transparency should be ensured
in development schemes in FATA so that tribesmen could get maximum benefit of the development projects.

Governor said ongoing projects should be completed within stipulated
time and no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.

The tribal people, he continued, had rendered great sacrifices for the
peace of entire region and now the time has come to reciprocate their sacrifices adding that no efforts would be spared for the uplift and socio economic development of tribal areas.

He said that socio-economic uplift and the development of Federally
Administered Tribal Area was the foremost priority of the incumbent government not only to address the grievances of tribesmen but also to ensure a better future of tribal people.

Hungarian Ambassador calls on Tariq Fazal

Electricity generation to rise to 31,000 MW by 2018: Asif

Assets beyond means case: Khawaja Asif exempted from personal appearance till filing of reference

ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif Wednesday said electricity generation would increase to 31,000 Mega Watt (MW) by 2018 after completion of ongoing power projects.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said there would be no load-shedding in the country by the end of PML-N’s government tenure.

Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, he said, had given wrong information in his speech regarding the energy generation. He seemed to have not been properly briefed on the issue, he added.

The minister said the demand and supply gap of electricity reduced to 4000 MW from 7000 MW, since his party had come into power.

He said the opposition should criticise the government policies
with some logic. They should better approach courts if they have any evidence of corruption in any power project, he added.

Giving details of the energy projects, the minister said 1320 MW Port Qasim project would be commissioned by 2018, Tarbela-4 by June 2017, Chashma 3 and C-4 Nuclear Power Plant by June 2016, 1320 MW energy project in Sahiwal by December 2017, Engro Thar and other Thar projects by June 2019, Nelum Jehlum Hydro Power Plant and Golan Gol Chitral projects by August 2017. Suki Kinari project would be completed by October 2022 while three projects of LNG would made open cycle in 2017 and then combined cycle in December 2017, he added.

Khawaja Asif said the provinces of Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh were defaulter of Rs 122 billion, 31 billion and Rs 71 billions respectively on account of tube-wells energy consumption.

He said the government was ensuring supply of uninterrupted electricity at the time of Sehr and Iftar in the holy month of Ramzan.

He, however, said the loadshedding was being made in the areas where the electricity pilferage was being noted.

He said recovery of Rs 55 billion was made during last three years due to the efforts of incumbent government.

The minister said the government had planed to establish five grid stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but the provincial government was not providing land for the purpose.
He said the electricity system in Pakistan had significantly improved and opposition should acknowledge it.

Foreign ministry mobilizes envoys for support on Pakistan’s NSG application

ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday arranged a briefing session for the diplomats based in Islamabad for mobilizing support for Pakistan’s membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).

As part of the ongoing diplomatic efforts, the envoys from NSG
countries were urged to adopt objective and non-discriminatory criteria for the membership of non-NPT states.

Additional Foreign Secretary (United Nations and Economic Coordination) Ambassador Tasnim Aslam in her briefing cautioned against any country’s specific exemptions, which she said would negatively impact strategic stability in South Asia.

The Additional Secretary highlighted the factors which placed Pakistan’s application for NSG membership on solid grounds, including Pakistan’s technical experience, capability and well-established commitment to non-proliferation and nuclear safety and security.

The briefing was attended by a large number of ambassadors and other senior-level representatives.

Economy improving due to best policies of govt: Ranjha

SARGODHA, June 8 (APP): Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha has said the national economy is flourishing due to the best policies of the government.

Addressing the participants at inaugural ceremony of Sui gas supply at Dhodha on Wednesday, Ranjha said, he had fulfilled the promise made during general elections about gas supply.

He said the PML-N would also succeed in 2018 general elections due to its people-friendly policies, adding that the people were standing by with the PML-N government due to its better policies.

He said directions had been given for provision of basic facilities like education, health and power supply to people of remote areas of the constituency NA-65 on priority basis.

He said: “We will eradicate terrorism, poverty, illiteracy and ignorance from the country and provide all possible amenities to people at their doorsteps.”

PSF general council re-elected Qamar Zaman, Tahir Khanzada as VP

PESHAWAR, June 8 (APP): The General Council of Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) unanimously elected Qamar Zaman and Tahir Khanzada as Vice Presidents of Pakistan Squash Federation for the next 04 years tenure.

This was stated by former World Champion Qamar Zaman while talking to APP here on Wednesday soon after receiving a notification. He also thanked Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, who also President Pakistan Squash Federation presided over the 43rd Annual General Meeting of PSF at Air Headquarters, Islamabad recently and other affiliated members.

He disclosed that representatives of provincial squash associations,
affiliated members and Pakistan Sports Board were also present during the meeting. Qamar Zaman said that President PSF lauded the efforts being taken by all the affiliated units for the promotion of squash in their respective rivals.

Qamar Zaman said that President PSF also expressed satisfaction during various activities in 2015. He appreciated PSF chief for taking keen interest for the revival of international squash in Pakistan, development of academies and some outstanding performances by the Pakistani players such as gold and silver medals during Asian and
World level competitions.

The successful conduct of Pakistan-Egypt Squash Series at PAF Museum, recent victory of Pakistan team during Asian Team Championship, 2016 and holding of 04 major PSA tournaments of US$ 25,000 prize money each with international players participation, planned during the 2nd half of year 2016, was also lauded by the general council.

The President PSF however desired that there is still a need of
collective efforts by the Provincial squash associations and other members of PSF to expand the game, Qamar disclosed.

He urged the players to focus on the game and further improve their
physical and mental strength. Besides assuring financial and administrative support by Pakistan Air Force, the President PSF asked the member associations to generate further resources to meet the challenging task through an improved system.

The President PSF directed the member associations to promote squash at  grassroots level and increase the number of players. He said the PSF chief also desired to introduce the game at schools and colleges and extract talent to further groom at national and international levels.

The performance evaluation of provincial association for the year
2015 was also carried out by the general council, he said. The KP Squash Association was awarded Winner’s Trophy for Pride of Performance whereas Punjab Squash Association stood runners-up.

President PSF presented trophies to the representatives of provincial
associations.​It was also agreed that the PSF would continue to sponsor men and women players in international team events for which their selection would be done through transparent trials and performance. Moreover, in PSA events performance based sponsorship would also be given. The PSF meeting concluded with the hope to revive
Pakistan’s ascendancy in the international arena of squash.

He said PSF chief also awarded cash prizes to squash players for winning Asian Squash Team Championship. He said PSF Chief awarded awarded cash prizes to Pakistan squash team on winning Gold Medal during Asian Squash Team Championship, held at Chinese Taipei in May, 2016.

While quoting the President PSF, Qamar Zaman said that he highly
commended the performance of gold medalist national team in the Asian Squash Team Championship. Pakistan squash contingent comprising Farhan Zaman, Farhan Mehboob, Tayyab Aslam and Israr Ahmad participated in the championship along with Fahim Gul and Group Captain Amir Nawaz as Coach and Manager respectively.

In the initial pool matches, Pakistan team defeated Singapore and Sri
Lanka; whereas, in the Quarterfinals, Pakistan beat Iraq. Subsequently in Semifinals, Pakistan team had a tough competition against India.

However, after about 03 hours match, Pakistan defeated India with a game  score of 2-1 and proved their worth to qualify for the finals. On May 15, 2016 Pakistan team played the finals against Hong Kong and won Gold Medal in the prestigious Championship. He said President PSF reiterated the commitment of PSF to support the top squash players. He however, urged the players to work hard to bring more laurels for the country.

Senate Finance Committee finalizes recommendations for finance bill

ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): Senate Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization in its meeting here on Wednesday finalized recommendations for finance bill 2016-17.

The committee meeting was presided over by Saleem Mandviwala. Senators Usman Khan Kakar, Sardar Azam Musakhel and Ms GulBashra of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party gave a number of recommendations primarily dealing with different projects in Balochistan.

The committee gave a six-month deadline to Higher Education Commission to establish sub-campuses of Balochistan University in Zhob and Chaman to provide facility to the students of the area.

The committee also considered the proposal to establish a Forestry University in Ziarat. Senator Kakar underscored the need for establishing a livestock university in District Musa Khel.

Recommendations concerning 1000MW solar, wind, gas and coal power projects on CPEC Western route were deferred for the next meeting to be discussed in presence of Water and Power Ministry officials. Kuchlak to Zhob motorway, Zhob to D. I. Khan motorway and Bostan-Kohat railway line were decided to be discussed in the next meeting in presence of NHA officers.

The committee accepted the recommendation to hold mineral survey in Quetta and Zhob division. In this regard, the Geological Survey of Pakistan will brief the committee.

The committee approved Senator Usman Kakar’s recommendations regarding gas projects in Balochistan, circular railway projects, cancer hospital in Loralai, allergy centres in provincial capitals and clinical laboratories in Balochistan.

Senator Kalsoom Parveen withdrew her recommendation regarding food security.

Her recommendation regarding construction of mother and child care hospitals in Quetta was approved.

Balance amount of Rs 333 million for infrastructure of Lasbela University and fund allocation for solar tube wells in Balochistan were also accepted.

The committee also passed three different bills. The bills include ‘ Corporate Restructuring companies Bill , 2016’, ‘Deposit Protection Corporations Bill, 2016 ‘ and ‘Financial Institutions (Secured Transactions ) Bill , 2016’.

The committee also discussed in detail the recommendations moved by Senator SirajulHaq.

The meeting was attended among others by Senators Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, Saud Majeed, Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, Ms. Ayesha RazaFarooq, Kamil Ali Agha, SardarFateh Muhammad Muhammad Hassani, Mohsin Aziz, Mushahidullah Khan, Usman Khan Kakar, Mrs.Kalsoom Parveen and Sirajul Haq.

Secretary Finance, Chairman FBR and senior officers of the attached departments were also present during the meeting.

CDWP approves Rs 1113.986 bln for 14 projects

ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday approved the Prime Minister’s advice for nomination of an appellate tribunal for bye-election in Provincial Assembly of Sindh Constituency No PS-127 Karachi-XXXIX.

According to the President House, the President gave his approval to the summary initiated by Election Commission of Pakistan, and approved names of two judges of High Court of Sindh for disposal of appeals against the decisions of the Returning Officer; rejecting and accepting the nomination papers for the bye-election.

President accords assent to Constitution’s 22nd Amendment Bill

ISLAMABAD, June 8 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday accorded his assent to the the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment Bill, 2016, that envisages the qualifications and procedure for appointment of Chief Election Commissioner and members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The President approved the summary initiated by Senate Secretariat, on the advice of the Prime Minister.

The bill states that in case there is no consensus between the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition over appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner, then both of them shall send separate lists to the Parliamentary Committee for consideration, and the committee shall approve one of them.

The President also gave his assent to the Delimitation of Constituencies (Amendment) Bill, 2016 on a summary initiated by National Assembly Secretariat on the advice of the Prime Minister.

97% urban, 90% rural areas observed ‘zero’ load shedding at Sehri time: Spokesman

Ramazan Package attracts huge customers at Utility Sores

ISLAMABAD, Jun 8 (APP): Outlets of the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) of twin cities, witnessed a virtual frenzy of consumers at the advent of holy month of Ramazan for buying essential items at discounted prices.

The government had announced Rs 1.75 billion subsidy on 22 items, to be available at all outlets of USC across the country, in order to to facilitate people during the holy month.

The items included wheat flour, cooking oil, Ghee, sugar, pulses, gram, gram flour, dates, rice, beverages, tea, and syrups, etc.

The substantial decrease in prices of essential items under the Ramazan Package of the government has attracted crowds of buyers, especially from the middle- and lower-middle income group who were out to buy specially wheat flour, sugar, Ghee, cooking oil and gram flour.

People, specially for lower income group, have appreciated the government for announcing a Ramazan Package of Rs.1.75 billion for providing relief to the people specially the common man.

Manager of Utility Super Store, G-9 Markaz, Anwar Zaib told APP that the sale of the store, had witnessed over 500 per cent surge after the implementation of Ramazan Package.

He said that arrangements had been made to provide the discounted items to the people throughout the holy month of Ramazan.

“There will be no shortage of goods at the stores in Ramazan,” he added.

However, a buyer at a utility store in Sadiqabad area of Rawalpindi told this scribe that sugar was not available at the store which was the main kitchen item during Ramazan.

When the manager of the branch was asked about the shortage of sugar, he said that 25 bags, each containing 50 kilogram of sugar, was unloaded in the Wednesday morning but due to high demand, the stock was sold within 3 hours.

Under Ramazan Package utility Ghee, oil is available from Rs 115-125 per kg, compared to 125-175 per kg market prices, Dall Channa is being sold at Rs 120 per kg compared to 150-160 per kg in the open market, Dall Moong (washed) on Rs 148 per kg compared to Rs170-180 per kg while Dall Mash (washed) is available on Rs 273 per kg compared to Rs 280-290 per kg in the market.

Similarly, Dall Masoor is being sold at Rs115 per kg compared to Rs160-180 per kg in the market, white gram at Rs115 per kg compared to Rs160-180 per kg in the market, gram flour at Rs120 per kg against Rs155-160 per kg, black gram at Rs 110 per kg against Rs140-145 per kg, Sella broken at Rs40 per kg compared to Rs55-60 per kg whereas mash shell per kg is available at Rs258 compared to Rs270-280 per kg.
Likewise, Masoor (whole) is being provided at Rs120 per kg against Rs145-155 per kg, dates at Rs.160 per kg against 200-240 per kg, Rice (super basmati) at Rs 72 per kg against Rs 80 to 100 per kg, rice (super sella) at Rs72 per kg against Rs80-100 per kg, broken rice is available at Rs48 per kg against Rs55-60 per kg, squashes and syrups (1500ml) at Rs.265 against Rs295, squashes and syrups (800ml) at Rs152 against Rs170, black tea at Rs.603 per kg against Rs.690 per kg, milk (tetra pack) at Rs. 102 liter kg against 110 per liter while all USC spices are available on 10 percent discount.

Meanwhile, Minister for Industries and Production, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi in a statement said that the subsidy package of USC was an effort to frustrate designs of some elements who are involved in raising the prices of commodities during the holy month.

He said that the government was committed to providing relief to the people, adding that the Ramzan Package had been initaited by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif back in 1990s and was followed by the successive governments.

The minister said that he would personally visit USC outlets to addresses certain issues and specific grievance of the public in terms of quality and cost of USC items.

The Minister asked media persons that to bring it to his notice any complaint regarding the prices and quality of items at the USC outlets for immediate action.
