Nabeel breaks India’s Guinness World Record

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP): Pakistan’s Syed Nabeel Hasan Rizvi has broken a Guinness World Record for the Longest Number Sequence Memorized in four seconds.

“Nabeel memorized 30 random numbers in just four seconds, and correctly recalled in sequence,” Nabeel’s coach Sania Alam of Futuristic Learning USA institute told APP.

She informed that Nabeel had broken the record which was previously set in place by an Indian in March 2022 with 28 numbers memorized.

“Nabeel has been training his memory skills for many years with me. He has also competed in various international mind sports competitions including World Memory Championships,” she said.

Sania said Nabeel was the junior UK Memory Champion 2019 and Bronze Medalist of UK Mind Mapping Championship 2019.

Commenting on the big achievement, Nabeel said, “It feels great being able to break the barriers of your own mental capacity and to witness how impeccably fast the brain’s processing powers can be when properly trained.”

The longest number sequence memorized in four seconds was 30, and was achieved by Nabeel in Karachi, Pakistan, on June 27. Syed has been training his memory for many years. He has competed in various international mind sports competitions including the World Memory Championships.

Foggy conditions likely to engulf plain areas of Punjab

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP): Foggy conditions will continue to engulf plain districts of Punjab in the morning hours during next 24 hours as per forecast of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

According to the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded, were Skardu -08 C, Leh -06, Astore, Kalat -05, Bagrote, Gupis, Hunza, Ziarat -04, Kalam -03, Gilgit, Pulwama Quetta, Shopian and Baramulla -01C.

PM AJK urges opposition to refrain from delaying LG polls

MIRPUR (AJK), Nov 23 (APP): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan on Wednesday urged the opposition parties to refrain from delaying the local bodies polls being held after a pause of 31 years.

Talking to the media in Kotli, he said “The people of Azad Kashmir fully understand the tactics being used by the opposition parties”, he said adding that instead of creating hurdles the opposition parties should support the government’s efforts to transfer power to grass root level.

Regarding the imposition of additional taxes on electricity bills, he made it clear that there would be no increase in taxes on electricity bills.

To rid the people from taxes being levied on utility bills by the NEPRA the PM said that cheap electricity would be generated at local level. After Muzaffarabad, he said that electricity cables will be laid underground in Kotli.

“DHQ hospital will be further equipped to provide better medical facilities to people, especially those who have been facing Indian aggression at LoC”, he said adding that turning the liberated territory into a self-reliant and the welfare state was his dream.

Highlighting the Diaspora community’s role in the region’s development progress and prosperity, the PM said that after Mirpur overseas Kashmiris hailing from district Kotli have played important role in strengthening the national economy.”In the past, media houses also exploited journalists.”
