MULTAN, Jul 29 (APP):In line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision for infrastructure development across Punjab, the upgradation of major roads in Multan city has officially commenced.
Initially, work has begun on the rehabilitation of a key 1-kilometer stretch of road from SP Chowk to Bomanji Chowk under a Rs. 27 million scheme that will cover complete road carpeting as well as the restoration of the central median.
Commissioner Amir Karim Khan has ordered completion of the scheme within 15 days, aiming to minimize public inconvenience and ensure swift delivery. The initiative is part of a broader provincial strategy to improve urban infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance the overall commuting experience for citizens.
The commissioner’s office will continuously monitor the work to maintain quality standards and timely completion.
