Sh Rashid inaugurates new building of Gujranwala Railway Station

GUJRANWALA, April 01 (APP)::Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad Monday inaugurated the new building of Gujranwala Railway Station costing of Rs 50 million.
Talking to the media he said the previous rulers had left the country in deficit and all departments including Pakistan Railways and Pakistan Steel Mills were facing serious financial problems.
However, Pakistan had avoided default and now the government was going to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a loan package.
He said that railways was trying to get transportation of Pakistan State Oil’s petroleum products so that the railways could achieve the Rs 10-12 billion target in a year.
He said that the Sikh community would be guests of the Pakistan Railways in future. He said the case of Samjhota Express would be raised at
the International Court of Justice.
The heart of Nawaz Sharif was in London so he wanted to go there, he said and added that political future of Sharif and Zardari families looked bleak.
