ISLAMABAD, Oct 9 (APP):Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Wada Tuesday said previous governments were responsible for damaging the national economy.
The entire country was facing financial crunch due to the weak policies of last governments, he said while talking to a private news channel.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government wanted to make the country ‘a welfare state’ and for that purpose, it was taking concerted measures in different fields, he said.
To a question about inflation, he said the government had to take difficult steps, but at the end the masses would enjoy the benefits of ensuing progress and prosperity.
Faisal Wada said the prime minister was going to launch a housing scheme for providing shelter to the people belonging to the low income group.
About increasing utility bills, he said the poor consumers would not face any problem in that regard.
He said the country was facing the financial challenges due to the previous rulers who had looted the national wealth.
