ISLAMABAD, Jul 01 (APP): In a significant development for Pakistan’s cultural landscape, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Muhammad Aurangzeb Khichi, has extended profound gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Senator Irfan Siddiqui for their unwavering support in protecting the country’s literary, cultural, and academic institutions from dissolution or merger.
The Minister welcomed the Prime Minister’s categorical stance rejecting any proposals that could jeopardize the autonomy or existence of these national institutions, calling it a “source of immense relief and encouragement” for writers, artists, intellectuals, and cultural stakeholders across the country.
He said the Premier’s assurance not only secures the legacy of Pakistan’s rich cultural and literary heritage but also paves the way for strengthening, reforming, and modernizing these institutions to better serve future generations.

Reaffirming the ministry’s commitment, the Minister pledged full implementation of the Prime Minister’s vision and promised to enhance the outreach and effectiveness of national cultural bodies, especially in reconnecting youth with Pakistan’s artistic and intellectual traditions.
