PML-N to win 2018 election due to performance: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 13 (APP): Federal Minister for Planning,
Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday said that next general election would be held in 2018 and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz  (PML-N) would again get the people’s mandate due to its performance.

Talking to a news channel, he said the PML-N government would rid the country of all the crises, including energy and terrorism.

The party, he said, had always focued on solving the problems being faced by youth, as they were the future of the country.

When the PML-N government took over the charge, the economy was fragile as the country was on the verge to be declared a dangerous and defaulter one by the international community.

But today, its  economic policies were being praised worldwide which was the success of the PML-N government, he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said the PML-N had the capability to bring the country out of the crises and it was working hard to cope with all the challanges. Instead pursuing political vendetta, its government was trying to look forward to make the country stronger and prosperous.

To a question, he said the PML-N stood with the Pakistan Peoples Party in the past for strengthening the democratic system.

The government would make every effort to bring Pakistan at par with the developed countries, he said.

To another question, Ahsan said the funds allocated by the incumbent government for the education sector had not been disbursed by any regime in the past.

To a query, the minister replied that there was no VIP culutre in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the past and the claim of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI)Chairman to abolish the same was wrong. The country had suffered great loss due to the PTI’s politics of sit-ins, he added.

The minister claimed that the development made by China and Japan in 30 years could be achieved by Pakistan within 15 years.
