KARACHI, Mar 18 (APP):Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi on Monday said the government was providing facilities to the people at their doorsteps under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan of a Naya Pakistan.
Inaugurating the one-window facility of NADRA here at Gadap Town, he stated it was a Naya Pakistan, in which time saving facility had been provided to the people of area, according to press release.
Afridi congratulated the chairman and director general of National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) on their exemplary performance, saying some 52 local and 11 zonal offices of NADRA had been renovated in just few days.
“This achievement reflects a commendable team work and extremely professional approach,” which had become a feather in the cap of the present government, he added.
He said the performance of NADRA had also improved with processing of 4,000 identity cards previously to now reaching average of 14,500 per day, with touching the maximum target of 19,000 to date.
The minister said the NADRA officials were doing their work on merit without any political and external interference.
“We have ensured that the ones who perform and deliver should be rewarded and appreciated,” he added.
He congratulate the PSL organizers for holding such a great event in Karachi and thus giving a message to the world that Pakistan was a peaceful country.
“We will make the Pakistan Super League one of the best leagues and have all its matches played in the country,” he hoped.
Afridi said the interior ministry would play a lead role in ensuring internal security and help bring international cricket back to Pakistan.
The minister also paid a surprise visit to NADRA office in Lyari, where he checked the facilities and public delivery status.
He inquired from the people about the performance of NADRA. He directed the staff to ensure that the people do not face difficulties.
The minister also visited Dadhabhoy Institute of Higher Education(DIHE) Karachi.
