ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP):Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan,, has embarked on an official visit to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, marking a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Upon arrival, Chairman Gilani was warmly received at the airport by G Rozye, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, and Annamuhammet Sarvjayev, Chairman of the Friendship Parliamentary Group sais a news release.
The dignified reception accorded to Chairman Gilani underscores the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
The Pakistani delegation was also greeted by the Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Mr Adnan Zahoor, and Defense Attaché Colonel Taimor Mehmood, highlighting the commitment of both nations to fostering bilateral relations.
During his visit, Chairman Gilani is scheduled to engage in high-level meetings with Turkmen officials, including the leadership of the Mejlis and other key stakeholders. The talks are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchange.
