Feeding orphans a great reward hereafter: Qadri

ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP):Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony, Peer Noor-ul-Haq Qadri on Thursday said that feeding orphan children has great reward hereafter whereas patron-in-chief Pakistan Sweet Homes Zammurrad Khan was amicably serving the purpose.

Addressing on the occasion of iftar-cum-dinner organized by Pakistan Sweet Homes, Peer Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that Zammurrad Khan had started a welfare service plan whereas our society needed people like him to serve the oppressed masses.

He said, “Pakistan Sweet Home is now the Sweet village and those who run it are definitely entitled to the great reward to be given in the next world.”

He said that there was no match to this welfare project and the management deserves appreciation and hoped that the privileged class would fully support the upbringing of orphan children.

He assured the Sweet Home administration that the Ministry and Government would continue to cooperate with all available resources.

Patron-in-Chief Pakistan Sweet Home Zammurrad Khan said that we had started the sweet home programme in 2009 with just a single kid and now thousands of children from across the country were its part.

He said that the credit goes to the volunteers and donors who partake in this great work of charity.

He informed the participants that they were also initiating another sweet home at Mirali town in North Waziristan with the army’s cooperation, adding that 150 orphan children were already present there.

He urged the minister, politicians and civil society to join hands with this caravan for the welfare of the orphans.

He said that the former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf had announced to give 13 acres of land for Sweet Home whose ground work started in 2014 and today the dream came true as Sweet Home became the best orphanage of Pakistan.
