ISLAMABAD, Jul 21 (APP):An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday terminated the acquittal plea of PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan in the Faizabad protest case after disqualification of PTI founder.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case. Proclaimed former federal minister Aamir Mahmood Kayani and Rashid Hafeez, Jamshed Mughal and other accused appeared in the court, while applications for exemption from attendance were filed by Faisal Javed Khan, Haider Bin Masood, Raja Majid.
During the hearing, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur once again did not appear in the court and his lawyer said that the court should repeat the previous order regarding him, to which Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra said that you should first apply or else we will see. The court rejected the acquittal application of PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan.
During the hearing, the two prosecution witnesses appeared in court on behalf of the party. The Judge said that their statements will be recorded and you can cross-examine them at the next hearing.
Judge asked Aamir Kiyani to bring the application and then he will see. The court adjourned the hearing of the case until July 31. A case has been registered against PTI workers in Police Station I-9.
