BEIJING, July 22 (APP):The 8th China (Ordos) International Cashmere and Wool Exhibition was recently held in Dongsheng District, Ordos.
The event drew over 30 internationally renowned companies from major fashion and cashmere-producing nations, including France, Italy, the UK, Iran, Japan, and Mongolia.
According to organizers, eight major projects were signed on-site—including the Ordos Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Integrated Research Center, a digital shared factory for cashmere knitwear, and a deep-processing cashmere facility by Shenghui. The total value of signed deals reached 300 million yuan. Sixteen additional corporate orders were finalized, with a combined value exceeding 290 million yuan.
At the opening ceremony, Ge Wei, Secretary-General of the Belt and Road City CCPIT Alliance, and Damon Frank Giannoccaro, Chief Creative Officer of Giannoccaro Italia, delivered remarks on behalf of international partners. Together with other participants, they activated a launch device symbolizing Ordos’s “Cashmere Commitment” to the world.
In an interview with China Economic Net, Giannoccaro praised Ordos’s innovation and craftsmanship in China: “I hope the exhibition grows, and that more people become aware of the power and innovation happening in Ordos. The knitting manufacturing is really outstanding here. The ‘Made in China’ part is really excellent.”
