QUETTA, Aug 20 (APP):Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind Wednesday said that the scope of investigation has been expanded after a recent important arrest from Quetta.
He said that a confidential information was received regarding some target killers, on the basis of which raids were conducted at more than one place and several suspects were detained.
According to the spokesperson, during one of the operations, Zameer Advocate was also taken into custody along with other suspects, however, he was released after initial investigation.
He said that the operations of the security forces are continuing continuously to establish peace in Balochistan saying that it has already been made clear that the security forces are conducting operations in “gray areas” where it is difficult to distinguish between friend and foe.
He said that collective efforts are needed to establish lasting peace and the cooperation of the people is indispensable in this regard.
The provincial government spokesperson clarified that no injustice would be done to any innocent person, while interrogation and investigation are part of a legal process.
He said that the Balochistan government would continue its efforts to maintain peace and make the province safe.
