MULTAN, Jul 17 (APP):Federal Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Rana Qasim Noon has strongly condemned Indian interference in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, and urged the international community to take immediate notice of ongoing human rights violations in Gaza and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Speaking at a press conference at the Multan Press Club, the minister held the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for recent acts of terrorism in Balochistan, where innocent civilians have been targeted and martyred. He said such interference must come to an immediate end.
Rana Qasim Noon emphasized that the situation in IIOJK and Gaza is no longer a regional concern but has become a global human rights issue that requires urgent attention from the international community. He stated that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and that the country is incomplete without it.
“The issue of Kashmir is not just a bilateral matter between Pakistan and India anymore—it has evolved into an international dispute that must be resolved in accordance with the United Nations resolutions,” he asserted.
He paid rich tribute to the Kashmiri freedom leaders, including Syed Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Yasin Malik, and the late Syed Ali Gilani, praising their unwavering struggle for freedom. “Their sacrifices will never be in vain, and the entire Pakistani nation salutes their courage,” he added.
Regarding the Pahalgam incident, the minister revealed that Pakistan had offered an impartial investigation, but India opted for aggression and refused dialogue—leading to a situation where, according to him, Modi faced humiliation. He said the Pakistani nation, along with the world, applauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal General Asim Munir, and the Pakistan Armed Forces for their strategic response and leadership during this crisis.
Answering a question, Rana Qasim Noon reaffirmed that both the civil and military leadership are united and working tirelessly to resolve public issues. He said the government is making sincere efforts to bring down inflation while adhering to IMF conditions.
Commenting on the deprivation of South Punjab, he reiterated that a separate province would only be viable if other provinces are created simultaneously. “The real challenge is to eliminate poverty and backwardness from the region,” he noted.
Addressing agricultural concerns, he acknowledged the hardships faced by local farmers due to climate change and said the government is taking concrete measures for sustainable agricultural development. “Without progress in the agricultural sector, we cannot move forward,” he stressed.
Prominent PML-N leaders, including District President Bilal Butt and General Secretary Athar Mumtaz, along with other local leaders and party workers, were present during the press conference.
