KP govt releases additional Rs 874m to PDMA for flood relief, compensation

PESHAWAR, Aug 20 (APP): Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam has said that provincial government has released an additional Rs. 874 million to PDMA for compensation and relief efforts
In a statement issued here Wednesday, he said that so far, a total of Rs. 4 billion has been released for the flood-affected areas. He stated that on August 16, Rs. 1.56 billion was released to Communication and Works Department (C&W) and Rs. 1.5 billion to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). On August 17, Rs. 61 million was provided as financial aid to TMAs (Tehsil Municipal Administrations).
The CM aide said that a total of Rs. 874 million has now been released to PDMA. He added that, in anticipation of flood situation, Rs. 500 million had already been released to PDMA before August.
