QUETTA, Jul 08 (APP):On the directive of Saifullah Khetran, Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Chief Engineer Haji Syed Muhammad on Tuesday reviewed the ongoing development projects under the Old Town Revitalization Plan in Gwadar.
The visit covered several key infrastructure and community projects currently underway in the city, said a news release.
The Chief Engr visited the Surag Dil Football Ground, Young Jan Futsal Ground, Government Girls High School, and Government Boys Model School, among other sites.
He thoroughly reviewed the progress and quality of the construction work and stressed the importance of maintaining high standards.
Haji Syed Muhammad instructed the on-ground engineers and contractors to accelerate work without compromising on quality. He emphasized that all projects must be completed within the stipulated timeline.
Following the field inspection, the Chief Engr convened a joint meeting at his office with relevant officials and engineers. The meeting focused on evaluating the overall progress of the ongoing development schemes. In response to public concerns, the Chief Engineer directed immediate commencement of carpeting work on the road stretch from Mulla Fazil Chowk to Makki Mosque and Club Road.
The meeting also addressed strategies to ensure timely completion of all development projects. Clear instructions were issued to all departments to implement practical measures without delay, aiming to improve infrastructure and ease civic challenges in Old Town Gwadar.
The revitalization initiative is part of GDA’s broader vision to modernize Gwadar’s infrastructure while preserving its historical and cultural significance.
