Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Jul 04 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where six ships, Kinaros Island, Icarius, Blue Bird, Al-Daayen, America and Swan scheduled to load/offload Cement, Rice, Gasoline, LNG and Coal, berthed at Marginal Wharf-1, Grain Termnal, FOTCO oil Terminal, Port Gas Power Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal and Marginal Wharf-4 respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile four more ships, MSC Sabrina-III, Kim Oldendorff, IVS Phoenix and African Kite with Container, Soya Bean Seed and Coal also arrive at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them Liquefied Natural Gas carrier ‘Ejnan’ left the port on today morning, while another bulk cargo carrier ‘Lunux Synergy’ expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 126,813 tonnes, comprising 118,374 tonnes imports cargo and 8,439 export cargo carried in 20 Containers (10 TEUs Imports & 10 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are nine ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them a container Carrier ‘MSC Sabrina-III’ & two more ships, Hansa Asia and Zonda carrying Container and Palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT and LCT respectively on today 4th July, while another container ship ‘X-Press Kohima’ due to arrive at outer anchorage on Saturday July.
