Dust-thunderstorm with gusty winds likely at scattered places

ISLAMABAD, May 31 (APP): Very hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while rain-thunderstorm is expected at few places in FATA and Malakand division during next 24 hours.

Seasonal low pressure lies over north Balochistan and its
adjoining areas.

Continental air is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during next 48 hours, an official of met office told APP.

Mirpurkhas, Sukkar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Quetta divisions and South Punjab (Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan divisions) will remain in the grip of intense heat.

Dust raising winds are also expected in Multan, Bahawalpur, Quetta, Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad divisions, he informed.
In last 24 hours, weather remained hot and dry in the most parts of the country.

However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Hazara, D.I Khan, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions and Kashmir.

Rainfall recorded during this time span included Balakot 07mm, D.I.Khan 04mm, Muzaffarabad 06mm, Garidupatta 01mm, Mianwali 02mm, Faisalabad and Sargodha 01mm.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Tuesday included Dadu, Larkana 49øC, Sibbi, Moenjodaro 48øC, Padidan, Sh. Benazirabad 47øC, Jacobabad 46øC. Islamabad 35øC, Lahore 34øC, Karachi 34øC, Peshawar 39øC, Quetta 36øC, Gilgit 31øC, Chitral 33øC, Hunza 26øC, Muzaffarabad 32øC, Murree 24øC, Skardu 25øC, Faisalabad 36øC, Multan 38øC, Hyderabad 39øC, Dir 32øC and Kalat 30øC.
