Temperature drops,rainy spell ahead;winter sets in

LAHORE,Nov 9 (APP): The provincial capital’s temperature dropped down by
nine degree celsius due to consecutive cloudy skies after a drizzle last Wednesday, bringing a pleasant and marked change in the weather.
The mercury rose to 29 degree centigrade in the afternoon during last couple of weeks, but the showers with hailstorm and cloudy weather brought it down to 20 degree centigrade.
The Met department has predicted light rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Kohat, Peshawar, Bannu, D.I Khan, Zhob, Quetta, Sibbi, Rawalpindi, Sargodha divisions during next 24 hours.
The officials informed APP that rain of moderate intensity is expected at scattered places of Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions) during Wednesday to Friday.
Under the influence of this rainy weather, Met office predicted that mercury would go down by three to five degree centigrade at the weekend.
In the city maximum temperature was recorded as 20 degree celsius on Monday.
