Rain-thunderstorm likely at isolated places in upper region in next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, July 25 (APP): Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir during next 24 hours.

There are also chances of landslides in Malakand, Hazara
divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Drizzle is also expected along Sindh-Makran coast while hot
and humid weather to prevail elsewhere in the country.

Seasonal low lies over north-Balochistan and its adjoining
area with its trough extending north eastward. Monsoon currents are also penetrating upper parts of the country. A fresh westerly wave is also likely to enter upper parts of the country on Tuesday and may persist 02 to 03 days, an official of Met office told APP.

In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Hazara, Quetta divisions and FATA.

Rainfall recorded during this time duration was Punjab (Lahore (AP 29mm, City 02mm), Jhelum 17mm, Muree12mm, Sialkot (City 10mm, AP
02mm), Islamabad (Saidpur 08mm, Z.P 05mm, Golra 03mm), Mangla 08mm,
Gujranwala 04mm, M.B.Din 01mm, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad, Chaklala 01)mm. Kashmir: Muzaffarabad 20mm, Kotli 06mm, Garidupatta 04mm.

FATA: Parachinar 07mm. K.P: Balakot 02mm, Kakul 01mm. Balochistan:
Quetta (sheikh Manda 05mm, Samungli 03mm).
Maximum temperatures recorded on Monday were Dalbandin, Nokkundi 45øC, Bhakkar, R.Y. Khan, Dadu 44øC, Chillas, Larkana, Noorpurthal, Bahawalnagar, Sukkar 43øC, Multan 42øC, Hyderabad 39øC,
Peshawar, Quetta Faisalabad, Gilgit 38øC, Karachi, Chitral 37øC, Skardu 36øC, Islamabad, Lahore, Muzaffarabad 35øC, Dir, Hunza 34øC, Kalat 31øC and Murree 24øC.
