Rain-thundershower with gusty winds expected at isolated places

ISLAMABAD, June 19 (APP): Rain-thundershower with gusty winds
is expected at isolated places while mainly hot and humid weather is
expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Raifall is expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan while at few places in Bahawalpur
division.

Seasonal low lies over North Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending south-eastward. Weak moist currents are penetrating into north-eastern parts of the country. Shallow
westerly wave is prevailing over upper parts of the country, an
official of Met office told APP.

In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of
the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at few places of
FATA and Kashmir.

Rainfall recorded during this time span was Parachinar 30mm,
Garhi Dupatta 05mm and Muzaffarabad 03mm.

Maximum temperatures recorded on Sunday was Sibbi 48øC,
Sukkar, Jacobabad 47øC, Bhakkar, Dadu, Rohri, Padidan, Moenjodaro
46øC. Islamabad 39øC, Lahore 39øC, Karachi 35øC, Peshawar 40øC,
Quetta 39øC, Gilgit 36øC, Chitral 37øC, Hunza 31øC, Muzaffarabad
36øC, Murree 26øC, Skardu 33øC, Faisalabad 42øC, Multan 44øC,
Hyderabad 43øC, Dir 33øC and Kalat 34øC.
