Rain, snowfall over hills expected at isolated places, fog to continue in plain areas

ISLAMABAD, Jan 6 (APP): Rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places while foggy condition is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

Rain forecast in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Karachi divisions, Islamabad, Upper FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Met office reported that a westerly weather system is likely to enter the country from Wednesday night and likely to persist over upper parts of the country during next 24 to 36 hours.

In last 24 hours weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country.

Lowest temperatures recorded during last 24 hours was Parachinar -10øC, Gupis, Kalam, Kalat, Skardu -04øC, Hunza -03øC, Dir, Astore -02øC, Islamabad 05øC, Lahore 07øC, Karachi 16øC, Peshawar 07øC, Quetta 00øC, Gilgit 00øC, Chitral 00øC, Hunza -02øC, Muzaffarabad 05øC, Murree 02øC, Skardu -06øC, Faisalabad 0øC, Multan 10øC, Hyderabad 14øC, Dir -02øC and Kalat -03øC.

Pollen count during this time span was 12 per m3 of air.
